Most of the time this series is an easy and fun read. This book is one of those times. This time Electra, Temple's eccentric landlady, is wanted for murder and it is up to Temple and Midnight Louie to catch the real killer.

I think the fact that these books have a blend of comedy and romance while maintaining its core strength as a mystery. I used to read Nancy Drew as a child and this fits my bill as an adult. Fun read.

There are some authors I don’t even need to know anything about their latest books. I take it on faith that I’ll like whatever they come up with. Usually, Douglas is one of the best. This time, I’m not so sure. The characters are still likeable, but the plot doesn’t gel until about 2/3 of the way through the book. I’m hoping against hope that my favorite character comes out okay. Douglas can’t kill him off. Right?

The Red Hats come to Vegas, leaving a small trail of murder and mayhem. Since Molina is mysteriously out of the picture it is up to Temple Barr, free lance PR diva extraordinaire, and her erstwhile crew to sort it all out. The tale is a bit convoluted these days but the story remains most intriguing.

This installment in the Midnight Louie series holds up on its own much better than some previous books in the series. Temple's investigation to clear her landlord, Electra Lark, of murder is the primary focus and it is done well. The continuing plots don't advance much nor take a lot of time in this book.

This was a great book! It was very well written and include many twist endings and cliffhangers.
