Meh. It was cute and an okay book but I felt like there definitely wasn't enough character development and I didn't like the way it ended. Also, maybe this was just me, but I totally missed that Margo was 15. So like, more than half way through the book Cindy is talking to Logan about how she's 15 and he's 18 and I was like, 'WAIT WHAT?' Cause I had been thinking she was 17 or something and that totally changed my whole view on everything that had happened. I think that made it kind of hard for...more
After reading Here by this author I picked this one up. Here was hard to get into just because of the leap into the story without much lead up but then it more than made up for it with creative plot and solid characters. This one wasn't as great. The heroine bothered me because she was very limited and beyond stuck in her own world. I know, she's a teen and this is YA so we're supposed to allow that but I kept waiting for her to grab me. She didn't.

Well now, this book was a lovely little surprise. It was easy to read, it tugged at my heart and left me wanting more.
This is the first book I’ve read by author Ella James, and I was adequately impressed by the rhythm and flow of her writing. The story moves at a leisurely pace, and I finished it in no time. As I’m not much for romance in books – and this is a romance novel aimed at YA readers – I must admit that I quite enjoyed the emotional tug-of-war between the two main characters, Margo and...more

Ella James does a wonderful job of bringing her readers into the sheltered, privileged, but loveless world of Margo Ford. Readers are immediately struck by her loss, sorrow, insecurity, and her need for an emotional port in the turbulent storm that is her life.
When she meets Logan, the handsome young pilot that is hired to take her to her "mother's" island; she is immediately swept away on a tide of desire that sets her adrift in very unfamiliar waters.

It was....interesting. Lots of miscommunication between the two main teen characters, Margo and Logan. Also, lots of chemistry. But something was missing in the interactions between the two. Logan had all this terrible back history, yet he never shared it with Margo.

Margo Ford becomes a heiress after her father dies and her insanely rich mother officially claims her. When terrorists hatch a plan to kidnap her, Margo's mother arranges a summer for her on a private island. This island has an astronomical observatory filled with scientists, including Logan Greer, a gorgeous but infuriating planet-hunter. Margo thought hiding out on the island would be boring, until it wasn't any more.

This book totally surprised me. It is a quick and very enjoyable read. After losing her father, Margo Ford finally meets her mom, Cindy Zhu, who's a billionaire. Before she knew it, she's an heiress. During her summer holidays, due to threats of kidnapping, she will now spend it on an island her mother owns. That is when she met Logan.

Before You Go is a story about a young teenager, klutzy Margo, who finds her world turned upside down. Her father has passed away, and now her mother (who is one the wealthiest women in the world) is forcing Margo to live with her for the summer due to a plot to kidnap the new heiress. Margo has only met her mother a handful of times, but still goes willingly so s...more

Can I just tell everyone that I am a diehard reader. I read everything at least once. So far this year I’m on book 235. (yes, this is why my bank account cries). But as any person, I have a favorite kind of book. I love books where the girl gets the guy and he’s her savior & protector. This book was not what I expected. I expected a story of love lost. Boy was I wrong. Ella James did a fantastic job building up the characters in this story and creating a world for the audience to revel in. I...more
This is one of those books that you are kinda mad at the end. Like you wasted your time. I almost stopped reading it twice. The scenes that the author must have thought were "hot" were disgusting! The characters were immature and shallow. The resolution at the end of the book was in the epilogue. That much resolution does not belong in the epilogue. Also, the book brought up all these struggles, slapped some icing on the conflict and called it good. This book literally was awful. Now, I actually...more

Review: This was an okay read not bad, it was one of those teen love at first sight stories. The length of this book was about 126 pages I believe, and I felt it was too short for me. I wanted more details about Margo and Logan's background, and answers to a few questions that were not resolved. The characters were good, and it was easy to get a sense of who they were and the plot was quick obviously because it was short but I got the story just wish there was more of it. As a love story, it's b...more

Margo and Logan have a love-hate relationship that is hormonally charged from the moment they meet. I enjoyed their stubbornness and arguing. While the story was entertaining, I would have liked some more drama surrounding the kidnappers and some more details as to what Logan accomplished or didn't accomplish with his family. This book is probably better suited for a more mature young adult audience. Before You Go was a pleasant little short story, perfect as...more

When Margo's father dies, her world as she knew it shattered. She may be rich now, but it doesn't seem to be worth the sacrifice of loosing her father because now she has to go live with her absentee mother, who is too wrapped up in her looks and money to give Margo the time of day. Not only does she have to go live on her mother's island, but she has kidnapping terrorists after her. Enter Logan, the hottie that is sent to pick Margo up from the airport to bring her to the island...actually to F...more
ahh, I really liked this one. a very cute action packed adventure love story.
I love that Margo is fierce and independant. She isn't really all that keen on anyone telling her what to do.
and Logan is rough and gruff, but you get his POV so you know why.
I loved the varying points of view so you did know what was going on.
such a fun short little tale.

Rich girl meets poor abused boy who wants to build himself a better life...blah blah, blah...I did enjoy it....pure romance, a very hot scene at a greenhouse which was hotter than 50 Shades..ha!
I liked the whole astronomy stuff and the few really sweet and romantic scenes...I didn't like the clichés....it was good though, I needed a break from paranormal and it did its job!

This book had way to many writing errors. It was a cute story but the problems in it annoyed me. At one point in the story the other started calling Cindy, Bethany and another character another name. Like how do you miss that? If you want to read anything from Ella James read Here it was sooooo good.
