I really enjoyed this story. It made me feel happiness, sadness and all other emotions in between. Flye makes the characters come alive and the way she delves into the world of young teens made me think back to how I thought as a child/teenager. Although there is a lot of sadness in the book, I think she resolves these conflics perfectly. The ending was bittersweet. I highly recommend.

I read this book because it was written by a local author. But, it turned out to be a well written story about young love, the secrets that exist below the surface in every community, and an unsolved murder. It was a great combination between suspense and levity.
