Once again I was not disappointed, this climb transports you to Argentine and Chile. The scenery as described is beautiful and you will also learn a little history of the Inca's. This time Scott Devlin is joined by Lester Fowl, Quentin and Kira Stern, Raul the leader of the expedition, Carlos the owner of the hostel, Evo and of course Natasha Sodoc in the background conducting her own business. The story is set around three golden Inca idols that all seem to be looking for and not completely bel ...more

When I received the chance to do a book review for Murder on Aconcagua, I was very intrigued. It had been a long time since I had read a murder mystery and I was happy to have the opportunity to read this book. I have heard a lot of good reviews about the Summit Murder Mystery series and this book definitely did not disappoint. From the moment I read the Prologue I was hooked. The characters, story setting and weaving of historical locations made for a gripping tale. I found myself having a very ...more

The fifth book in the Summit Murder Mystery Series, Murder on Aconcagua, set in Argentina is, I believe, the best one thus far. The stories of climbing the highest summits on the continents of the world takes the reader to the most majestic locales in the world, where they climb beside professionals and allow you to be right in the midst of all the drama, illnesses and accidents that take place on these deadly mountains. All professional climbers’ greatest wish is to overcome these magnificent p ...more

Murder mysteries are not my primary reading genre of choice, and finding a good fiction book wrapped with a mountaineering or rock climbing backdrop is difficult to come by at best. The only other good one I have read was The Eiger Sanction, penned some 40 years ago by Rodney William Whitaker, and later turned into a very good and fairly technically accurate movie directed by and starring Clint Eastwood. The Seven Summit Murder series is the first series of fiction novels that I have read in a l ...more
The authors of Murder on Aconcagua promise that their book is unlike any book you’ve ever read. They weren’t kidding. It’s true, the book is full of action, adventure, excitement, and mystery, but the fact that it all transpires on one of the deadliest mountains in the world, makes it a truly unique read! Kudos to the authors for writing a book that is truly unforgettable.

Fabulous backdrop for a mystery. Ancient Incan legends for power motivate Hugo Chavez & other greedy parties to seek them. But it isn't much of a mystery. You know who the bad guys are. The big question is just who and how and when is it going to go down.

One of several in a mystery series, this one ranks among the best. The action, scene-setting and characters are wonderfully done. The author pulls the reader in from the first page. Fast becoming one of my favorite Indie authors.
