Ms. Essex has crafted an amazing story with genuine, down-to-earth characters who just happen to be immortal. The vivid scenery continues to be inviting, the dialogue remains believable, the characters are easy to relate to, and the dynamics amongst the characters remain complex and riddled with secrets that are begging to be unveiled. I was able to read an ARC of this book and it's definitely a great sequel to the first book, Foreshadow. There is much more explained and I was intrigued by all the twists and turns. Essex does a great job of keeping readers captive and wanting more. Can't wait to read the third and final installment of this trilogy. It's refreshing to read something paranormal that is a little different than the norm. Great read!
