The Pulse Historia #1

A Sword For His Women
WARNING:
I would like to add a light warning for this series. I did so on my other pages so I thought I should do so here. In PULSE HISTORIA we follow real historical events, meaning I will not sugarcoat facts. History is brutal and not always "politically correct", but as a history teacher it is my duty to present facts without fea...more

I have never read anything by this Author before but I will definitely be looking into buying her longer books! This little short story was an absolute joy to read. It packed in so much detail and action but it wasn't overwhelming. It left me wanting to know about every single character more and more, and I really loved her writing style.

I definitely recommend this gem!

This short story takes us on a journey where we find out where our Favourite *Heroes* come from: their pasts, what they entailed, the hurt, loss, and pain of war....The love to have a woman by your side, and the pain inflicted upon the men and woman . Not only making them grow stronger but also to move on with life no matter what. Revenge seems somewhat mild compared to what is done back in that era.. Swords where the answers, you either died by it, or fought with it to survive.

Anne here and I have just finished reading A Sword For His Women by AJ Sweeny. This is a short story written to better elaborate where our favorite "Heroes" come from and their past lives and how living and seeing the things that they've seen affects who they are in Pulse Of Heroes. First off let me tell you of the brilliance of AJ and her writing she literally can make history not only interesting but completely enthralling. I love to hear about things that have happened long ago but adding in...more

I enjoyed this short and was really taken aback by the author's talent to switch her writing to a more masculine genre about war and fighting men. This could definitely stand on it's own as none of the history discussed in the main novels had any bearing on this story. Although in hind sight it really helped me understand the guys so much more. It was great.
Loved all the history again and how deep she went into it without trying to soften the brutality of what took place. The emotional parts wer...more

A Sword For His Women is a delightful addition to The Pulse Myth series and has thoroughly excited and inspired me to finally read book two.

This is the brilliant story of how several of our favorite heroes from Pulse of Heroes meet and develop a friendship that will last for a very long time. It is a tale that is both riveting and haunting, sticking with me long after I had read the last word, as well as thrilling and fascinating. One of the things best about this short is the fact that Ms. Swe...more

Once again the brilliant A. Jacob Sweeny took us on an amazing trip back in time. I loved the fact that she wrote this whole short story on my favorite hero Ando. She showed us a more human side to Vald the Inpaler. Showing us why he did the monstrous things he is so well known for. There was a few draw backs but all in all a great story and well worth the time it takes to read. I applaud you A. Jacob Sweeny for another job well done and look forward to your next instalment to this great series....more

Superb short story that gives real insight into the history of the characters in Pulse of Heroes. It takes you on a fascinating journey into history with a well constructed plot and character development.

I'm not usually a fan of books that are heavy on the history, yet A. Jacob Sweeny has managed to win me over with her detail and construction of a fascinating albeit brutal world. It truly captured my attention and interest.

Ms. Sweeney has thoughtfully taken some time to fill us in on the characters from her Pulse Series. Giving us personal history and insight into what forged their spirits. A Sword For His Women and Divine Love in Time of Storms takes us back in those years before Eliot and Michelle meet in The Pulse Myth series. Thoroughly enjoyable and historically rousing you'll love this little side-track while we're waiting for the final installment! Thank you!

If you like to read historical fiction, then you will love this short story. In order to fully enjoy and understand it though, you will need to read the books "Pulse of Heroes" and "Of Blood and Pulse"...both of which are great books. But that is just my opinion.

This is a vivid story that captures the long-ago wars, events and emotions in a thrilling tale. And by the end of it...you'll be wanting more!

this was confusing... I got this because (1, it was free and (2, I figured it may be a good introduction to the Pulse of Heroes series,,, but I think it can't really stand alone. And honestly, it didn't really get me interested in reading the series either.

After getting a bit attached to these guys from reafing the whole series it was absolutely awesome to go back in time & learn more about them!! :) Just Amazing! Keep 'em coming please!! I'd love to read more about all of them! ;)

What an amazing story and an excellent historical addition to tho Pulse myths..If you want to learn more about Our Beloved Immortals.. A must read to get to know Ando a little more. This is not for the faint of heart though. It does cover the actual events from history and adds the Pulse twists to it. After reading this I understood the characters described better.

Excellent writing style that just seems to flow from this author. Loved it!

A great addition to supplement the Pulse series. A Sword For His Women gives you history/back ground on some of the main characters from the Pulse series. Although this is a great stand alone short story it is a great accompaniment to the Pulse books. Am looking forward to more short stories!!
