Sometimes love is meant to be. But sometimes...love is the death of you....

Seventeen-year-old Scarlet has just died. Only, dying isn't unusual for a girl under a centuries old curse that left her semi-immortal.

This time, though, she comes back to her current life instead of awaking in a new one, and she realizes the curse is changing. Together with the immortal Archer bro...more

ahahahahahaha so frickin joyful right now, scary ashmen and battle for victory aside of course. I love the last page... when she remembers everything.. I swear if she wasn't going to, I was definitely going to kill someone because of how unfair everything is for Tristan.

I loved Tristan and Scar's story,

Have you ever read something so good that you have to reread it 1, 2 or maybe 10 more times before you move on to another book??? Well that is this book!! I am going to be re-reading it already! (and yes it just came out yesterday!) This book was awesome! Much better than book one! Ok, how much do you LOVE Tristan? Because I LOVE him so much! I wanted to scream at his brother you have no right to her, no reason to be upset, she was never yours! I loved reading the story about how they met and fe...more

OMG! OMG! As Heather would say in this novel, Awry is absolutely fan-freakin-tastic!!! and I definitely agree! Chelsea Fine has taken me on the most twisted, romantic, and mysterious adventure with the amazing Archers of Avalon series. I'm totally in awe with Fine and this incredible story. I love that Fine gave the backstory of how the love curse began in the 1500's between Scarlet, Tristan, and Gabriel right along with the present day story of them trying to find the cure for the curse. Awry d...more

Come on, did any of you really think this book would fall short after reading ANEW? Shame on you if you just said yes…SHAME!

THE ARCHERS OF AVALON series is one of my favorites, for sure! After reading ANEW, book one in the series, I was like a crazed animal in need of food. I scavenged the internet hoping that AWRY would release soon but, I found nothing on the release date for weeks and weeks. Then, BAM here it is and I was able to breathe again! Thankfully the story in AWRY picks up right wher...more

This book was freakin awesome! The first was good but this one was EXCELLENT. The characters developed so much and each took on a life and likability of their own, making you care for each of them individually. The connection between Tristan and Scarlett feels epic! Heather and Nate are great sidekicks and Gabriel is a sweetheart you have to feel for. The storyline is so unique too! With this second book I have to say that this is easily one of my new favorite series:)

Oh, man. The whole time I was reading this book, I was anxious that it would end real soon, and I don't wan't it to! I was so lost in the book that I haven't noticed I'm so close to finishing until I flipped to the next page, eager to find out what happened next and saw the word ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. Oooh! I really love Awry! It's amazing! I'm glad to finally find out the story behind the curse, of knowing Scarlet, Tristan and Gabriel's life before it all happened. And that ending was.. was.. I can't...more

5 STARS!!! Ms. Fine did it again! I could not put this one down. Chelsea, please tell me there is going to be a third book. The physical (and sexual) tension between Tristan and Scarlet was amazing and left me wanting more. The book ends with a HUGE cliffhanger that begs for more of their story! I'm dying to know what happens with Gabriel, Heather, Nate, and, of course, Tristan and Scarlet.

"In essence - we're all screwed". Yeah, that pretty much covers it!!! The action starts straight away, and the story twists and turns, dragging our beloved characters even deeper into the complexity of the supernatural curse that is upon them. And I loved it!

This book picks up immediately at the point of the devastating cliffhanger at the ending of book 1 – Anew– and the emotion poured into the first few chapters is staggering! Two pages into this book and I had tears streaming down my face. May...more

AMAZING!so much better than the first! I can't tell you how much I loved this book and Tristan <3 and oh New York was wow. I loved how Scarlet's relationship with everyone developed and how the author let Heather and Nate have a more important role in the book, complementing the plot. Also I loved how the chapters alternated between now and the 1500's it was really nice to know what happened when Tristan and Scarlet met. I can't wait for the next book! ushh I hate waitingg on the last 2 pages...more

BEST.BOOK.EVER. Omg! this book was amazing...i love gabriel and tristian... but even more i like tristian and scar!! Tristian is total 'immortal hotness' (so to quote a certain over-energetic, blonde best friend) with his sexy.sexy.eyes. I dont know why i always fall for the brooding dark guy.
In this book we find out about scarlets origional life and how all three people got themselves in such a mess. who she originally loved (hmmm...) and how she got with the other...but which is which? We al...more

I had a hard time choosing between 3 stars and 4 stars... but 4 won out.

I liked the flashbacks... really helped the story a lot.

MUCH better than the first in the series, if you ask me.

I absolutely loved this book, and I think it's soooo unfair she left off like that!!! OMG! I love Tristan so much! *giggles* hunter... I'm such a sucker for archery and this book just about rocked it! I'm dying for the next....

I bought this book last night and finished it early in the morning. I could not put it down.
I loved the flashbacks of the first lives that Scarlet, Tristan and Gabriel lived. The story itself was amazing and the chemistry between Scarlet and Tristan was so heart-wrenching and beautiful. I loved getting to know the side characters more. Then there were the Ashmen... Those people just crept me out after I read what they actually were.
The big cliffhanger is pure torture. The third book should come...more

What happens when you read a book that’s not very well written, but the plot is intriguing? Well, I guess you give the sequel a go! Luckily, this sequel was already available. Awry by Chelsea Fine is that sequel, or well, it’s the second book in the Archers of Avalon trilogy. It picks up where the first book, Anew, stopped, with Scarlet finding out more of the truths of her relationship with Tristan and Gabriel Archer, the identical twin immortal boys who are the result of their p...more

Picking up right where Anew ends, you're immediately pulled back into the story and trying to understand what's happening, just as the characters are. And then you'll be like: Wait a second. What is going on?

That's how I felt, especially when the flashbacks start coming, where you'll see a beautiful love story unfolding before your eyes. I was swept up in the characters' journey when they were alive in 1538 and loved seeing how everything happened back then.

And as if the love triangle isn't comp...more

To start off...my ideal Archer brothers would look like this:

And yes, I'm aware that these are in fact, Jack and Finn, but a girl can dream :D

So Scarlet's all, "Pffft, no! I don't have feelings for Tristan!" *averts gaze* "What...what on Earth are you babbling about?!"

So basically this book was torture. The girl's got amnesia. Everyone's out to kill her. The curse gets worse. Her love life's in ruins. Plus, we as the reader, have to choose between two amazingly talented, sweet and gorgeous gu...more

Reading a book this addicting, original, and satisfying, is like a double-edged sword. Because you know the next book you read, won't be as satisfying. Addicting. Heartbreaking. Enchanting. Yet you're so grateful that you found this gem of a story. It's madness! How am I to wait for the third book!?!

Anyway, some of my thoughts on this book:

First,I LOVED the revelation of the past, especially all the scenes with our HUNTER, Tristan, and our lovable heroine, Scar. SWEET and SWOON would be an und...more

Those who follow my reviews know that I have zero patience for silly, YA series where the heroine is trapped between two love interests cause I simply hate love triangles, especially when the choice is so painfully obvious. It's really rare the case where a love triangle is done properly and does not feel forced. The only other love triangle to date that I don't mind is the one in Infernal Devices and the reason why is because I respect and understand all parts involved in said triangle.

In Awry...more

I do a lot of things on KindleObsessed. I review books, or share excerpts. I announce new titles and gush over book trailers. Hell, from time to time I even bow down to my own fangirl geekdomness and honor some of my favorite authors with a full-page rant about how awesome they are. What I don’t do is series stalk. I read series novels, there’s no denying that, some of my favorite books out there are part of a “group” of books, but review anything other than the first book in a series? Nope. Bee...more

I can't believe that I have to wait until December to see how this ends!

Clearly, this is a good problem to have, because it means that I have finally found a series worth waiting for.

This second installment in the Archers of Avalon trilogy was almost better than the first. Heather makes her presence known a little more strongly, and she and Nate are a welcome comic relief to all the teenage angst and tortured romance going on with Scarlet and her love triangle with the Archer twins. I am so confused right now that I feel like my head is spinning

I asked so many questions when I finished book 1. In a way.. I got so many answers but, I still feel like there's something missing.

First off, I don't know if I should treat the characters as adults (I mean hey, they're super old!) or as the teenagers they are posing to be. Secondly, I am so confused between Gabriel and Tristan. I am definitely for team Tristan but, Gabriel also has his own good points. Thirdly, I still am bummed a...more

"Awry" was a good follow-up to Anew. This is fairly light reading, but it is fun and entertaining and a nice book for summer. In the first book, we met Scarlet, and her best friend Heather. Scarlet woke up in the woods near Avalon, GA two years ago with no memory of who she is or where she came from. She was taken in by Laura, now her guardian, and taken under wing by Heather, she of the fashion-savvy wardrobe. We also met Tristan and Gabriel Archer, gorgeous twins with a particular interest in...more

OMG…OMG…OMG…as Heather would say! I loved this book! Ms. Fine has done it again. But this time she’s done it with information and history instead of the mystery and suspense of the first book. How is that possible? Well, I think it’s possible because the characters are still captivating, the premise is still intriguing and the emotions are still intense!

The characters I fell in love with in Anew are better than ever in Awry. Scarlet is becoming stronger, more focused and the hero this story need...more

This was a great follow up to Anew, it starts off where Scarlett is dying again as she tends to do time after time due to a curse. This time the curse has changed and when she comes back to life, she is still in her current time and the immortal Archer brothers are there trying to help her figure it out. In Book 1 we only glimpse the past and I thought Gabriel was her love and boyfriend as he is in this life but that was not always the case. We find out through various flashbacks that Scarlett a...more

Seriously, Chelsea Fine managed to improve on what I already thought was a great series!

Awry picks up directly from the cliffhanger from Anew.

Scarlet's death and the emotions it invokes in both Gabriel and Tristan feels so incredibly real.

The readers have been kept in the dark for the most part and finally so many questions are answered. She has mastered giving just enough information to keep readers grasping for more!

There is something so tragically b...more

This one is better than Anew. I guess because this gave details on the three main characters (that is Scarlet, Gabriel and Tristan.) I like that the author told the story of the three's first lives, how they met and how they end up so messed up though I find it a bit confusing sometimes. Now I understand
why Tristan is so aloof, Gabriel so lost and Scarlet the way she is.

As the story goes, who Scarlet really is in her real life became more of a mystery which is quite frustrating since I was exp...more

*Read an excerpt at smashwords (I don't know what is more weird and frustrating, them cutting it so abruptly or the fact that my currency is not dollars so that I can't buy it??). The review is about that since I don't when I'll be able to find the book... Aghhh! Somehow the forty something pages managed to make me have more questions than before!
