3.0 out of 5 stars - Entertaining

This is a fast read - two books in one volume: Asylum Harbor and Burn Out. Both are adventures involving a search for a missing person by a private investigator who owns a company named Florida Omni Search. Rachel Scott founded the company to provide high-intensity searches for missing persons after her own daughter was abducted.

The first case centers on the disappearance of Amber Knowles, a high school senior on a cruise to the Bahamas. She's also the daughter o

This book was a easy read. It includes two books in one. The stories center around a woman named Rachel Scott. She started a investigative service to help find missing persons. The first of the two stories is about a teenager who goes missing on a cruise to the Bahamas. The second story is about a missing firefighter. The stories are well written and are fast paced. There are a few instances of unecessary descriptions of previous events. I won this book on the Goodreads giveaway.

I liked the plots of both stories but you can see some of the plot twists coming so you will probably work out what ha ...more

This was a good book with the first two books I the series contained In one volume. These are not on the edge of your seat murder mysteries but do contain enough excitement to keep you reading. They are about a missing persons investigator who herself has lost a daughter. In the first book she is searching for the daughter of the Florida Governor who has disappeared whilst on a cruise. In the second she is looking for a firefighter who has gone missing during a fire. The books a re well written

OMG, where is Mallory??? I really thought this novel would end with Rachel and her daughter together, but no such luck. I am officially a Tracy Hohenstein fan and am anxiously awaiting the next book in the Rachel Scott series.
