Like other reviewers, I fell on this gladly as a huge fan of the Rebel Angels books, and I find it difficult to imagine what it would be like to read without that existing knowledge. I would also strongly recommend Firebrand and Bloodstone if you haven't read them before.

This was a neat little novella. I really enjoyed seeing Leonora and Griogor(sp?) in a different light than in Firebrand. They seemed less harsh and more carefree and young. It was interesting to see where Lilith came from as well. It helped me to maybe understand a little bit why she turned out the way she did. I do however wish this novella was a bit longer. I would have liked to see how Lilith and Griogar ended up with Seth. And how Leonora ended up with Conal besides the obvious reasons.
