This book takes the reader through the process of creating a fresco step by step. It is so detailed that it could be an informational book. It is seen through the eyes of a young boy who is apprenticed to his uncle, an artist in fifteenth-century Florence. The illustrations are gorgeous, with interesting perspectives, expressive faces and rich, vibrant colors in the style of Renaissance paintings.
