I wish I had thought of this idea. Pure genius!
Lane, a computer software developer, comes up with an idea that is one of the biggest things to ever hit the internet. Along with some friends of his, he sets off to launch the most amazing program. As his "baby" grows as fast as greased lightening, he also is romancing Cat, a woman that I found to be witty, smart and fun.
K. M. Breakey's story makes me wonder. Could it be made to work in real life? Shouldn't someone be doing it? The concept makes m...more

Go away. Nothing to see here. Carry on!!!

I feel like Smeegol in the Lord of the Rings who is obsessed with the ‘One Ring’ and doesn’t want anyone else to have it. That’s how I feel about this book…It’s My Precious….
Okay, nerd-girl moment over…
Seriously, this book was beyond amazing. I loved everything about it. I loved the characters, the writing, the dialogue, the short chapters, the way everything just fell into perfect place at the perfect time and kept building and building at a perfect r...more

Lane Craig is a Vancouver programmer with good friends and a great idea. A once-in-a-lifetime idea. A business idea that will change the world and make him and all his friends rich--at least he hopes so.

The story of these friends and their attempt to set the world on fire riveted my attention. The writing is superb, full of short, crisp sentences and raw, fraternity house wit. The characters are super smart, a little jaded, and self destructive in their appetites, but I liked them a lot because...more

I think it's important to mention the simple idea central to this book. A website where you just click a button. However times you want, endlessly in fact, with the only goal being monitoring growth. Seeing how far that number can increase. Add to that - topics, ideas, people, countries, sports that you can click to support and increase their numbers. Like fanlistings (is that still popular?) but without the people's names, just the numbers. Really simple, and really intriguing; the novel shapes...more

Holy crap this book was freakin awesome! Forget about the fact the writing is amazing…it’s the idea behind this plot that is hands down the most brilliant I’ve seen anywhere. I have to wonder why the author is writing a book about it (albeit an AWESOME book), and not busy patenting and designing his own website so he can become the Next Mark Zuckerberg or Steve Jobs! I’m no great visionary, but even I can recognize a genius idea when I see one.

But aside from even that, from start to finish I w...more

INSANELY AWESOME!
WOW!! Often times the most brilliant ideas are the simplest ones, as KM Breakey demonstrates in his novel “The World Clicks”, about a thirty-something computer programmer named Lane who develops an idea into what will quickly become the biggest thing the internet (and therefore the world) has ever seen. And truly, the brilliance does lie in its simplicity, as all great ideas do. Aside from the book’s genius plot, the writing style of Breakey was enjoyable, with clear, witty, sna...more

4 stars out of 5: “The World Clicks” is an interesting read for technologically inclined audiences, and features a very entertaining narrator and an equally humorous supporting cast. Aside from a few missing words, the writing is solid and well put together. The lack of overt and overarching conflict is a little disappointing, and may leave readers with less affection for the novel than they might have had otherwise. But it’s a fun book and an interesting narrative of the life of an internet sta...more

The writing was good and the website idea great, but, the story itself was very shallow as were the characters.
The novel was full of descriptive pages that left me cold.
K.M. thanks for the book I learnt a lot obout this world, but not enough to make me like the book.
