She was an exotic healer hiding from the dangers lurking in her past...

Nessa Pearson wanted nothing more than to disappear into the everyday life of her quiet mountainside village. He was a pirate on a mission...

With his father at death's door, Aridin Nightstar would do anything to save him--even use a magic lamp to kidnap a beautiful healer. With a few delays, he spirits Nessa back to his ship, just like he'd planned. What he hadn't counted on was the white-skinned, blue-haired captive stealing his heart.

Can Nessa and Aridin overcome bandits, a bloodthirsty crew and Aridin's greedy mother to follow the Savior's plan?

When Julie Bihn was a little girl, her preschool teachers accused her of telling "stories" when she said her father had no legs and flew an airplane. Little did they know she was telling the truth, as her father is a double amputee and did take flying classes!

Gifted with writing skills by her mother and a steady supply of paper by her father, Julie has been writing and telling stories--true and imagined--as long as she can remember. She speaks of truth and love through fanciful tales of other times and places.

Julie's interest in writing and societies led her to a double degree in Creative Writing and Sociology from the University of Arizona. She is author of Titanic Voyage and A Selkie's Prayer and co-author of The Healer and the Pirate. Visit her online at https://www.juliebihn.com.

A contemporary fairy tale that I loved, as did my 13 yo daughter. Well-written and full of wonderful words of godly wisdom, I would highly recommend this book for anyone who likes to read romance, especially fairy-tale romance.

We all know the end-the guy and the girl get together. It happens that way in most romances (yes, I've read a few where they don't - and I've hated them), but the intriguing part about any book is finding what it takes to get them there. I didn't want to put this story down, but when I had to, I was just itching to get back to it.
