EEEEEEEEEEK. Sacrifice almost killed me, guys! Seriously. It was just so good; I don’t know if you know this, but I find that Denise’s second half of her books are just amazing. It took me a few days to read the first half, but once I hit the second half, I could NOT put the book down. It was just so addicting and my heart was racing because omgggg time squeeze and Raphael is insane and omg, WHAT IF THEY ALL DIED?!

I knew the fourth book was a rumor.

I have a love/hate relationship with this series. On the one hand, I love the story and the author's ability to show and not tell. She really knows how to tell a good story and this one is different enough from the paranormal stuff out there that it allowed me to actually be surprised by many of the plot's twists and turns. I found myself caring about the characters and their relationships and really NEEDING to know what happens next.

Sacrifice is the 3rd book In Denise Grover Swank’s “The Chosen” series. After reading the first two books in the series and falling in love with the characters and the plot twists and turns, I was anxious to read this book and get answers to many of the questions posed in Hunted. (the 2nd book). I was pleasantly surprised to discover that not only were so many answered, but even more were posed, leaving me burning through the pages to discover what would happen next.

This series has me hooked! Love the heck out of it.

The third book in the series surpassed my expectations. You always worry that a series that starts off with such an amazing and engaging story with well-developed characters may not continue as such in the subsequent sequels. That's not the case with this series. "Sacrifice," in my opinion, is by far the best novel in the series. So I finished this novel in about 24 hours time. It, like its predecessor, fell completely prey to my unquenchable appetite for this series. It was brilliant, once again, and I was not disappointed. Poor little Jake, it just breaks your heart what he is going through. Emma and Will are absolutely great in this book. Although the end left you on a cliffhanger and a pretty big one – it was also a great ending to this chapter in the series. There was a ton of action and it kept you on the edge of your seat reading all day. I cannot say enough about this series. Denise Grover Swank hooked me with Chosen, got me excited with Hunted, and worried me with Sacrifice. I didn't think she would be able to keep me as engrossed and excited as her previous books. How could she take her story any farther? How could she create more twists and turns? How could she make me love and hate her characters anymore than I already do?

She did it all and more.

Wow. As much as I loved Chosen & Hunted, I loved Sacrifice more more MORE!

The story goes so much deeper (and breaks my heart here and there) than the first two, and I love where Denise took Will and Emma! Watching their journey in this story and seeing how everything fits together and unravels is awesome!

I was apprehensive to read this book. As much as I loved the previous ones, I wasn't sure I was liking where this book was heading. Swank truly is talented. To take me from nervous, to blown away, it's just unheard of. I mean, I can be impressed, and I can be wrong about if I am going to enjoy a book or not; but, it really is a rare feat to have me dead wrong about my initial instincts about a book. This third installment in Denise Grover Swank's Chosen series definitely redeemed the story for me. It was captivating. Between Emma becoming one powerful elemental offspring (and finding something that resembles a spine in the process) and Will finding his way back to her, it was gripping from start to finish. What a fantastic book!! I am in love with this series, and absolutely can NOT wait until the 4th book! This installment was captivating from the very beginning. The reader feels for Emma and her lost love, and the anticipation builds as Will struggles to understand his feelings for a woman he doesn't know. There was no lack of action and emotions with the characters and each grew exponentially in this installment. I was completely breathless as I reached the final page of this book. Another great book in the series. I am was disappointed that this one didn't wrap it up because I thought it was only going to be a trilogy.
There is no real insight in what is going on in the big battle just more "clues" and more confusion. I do hope that Adien doesn't win and that Emma,will and Jake get a HEA. After everything they have been through they deserve it.

Sacrifice starts out on a sour note, what with Will forgetting who Emma was. At least it gave a bit more insight into Will's life and mannerisms pre-Emma. Though Aiden's game change is a real twist, and Water...well let's just say he's a mysterious character well worth the secrecy. Sacrifice is a must-read for Swank fans and non-fans alike.

Actually quite a bit better than the previous books. The portrayal of Jake and his powers has become FAR more realistic. At the same time, the portrayal of Emma and her various frienemies has gotten a little out there, so it's kind of a wash. Still a fun romp though, and I'll be happy to read the next one when it comes out.

As I make my way through the Chosen Series, I find Ms. Swank's writing becomes more and more intense. After the second of the series, I determined I was going to read the third and if things did not move along any faster, I was done. I am so glad I read the third of the series. I never would have guessed Will's destiny, and Emma and Will's love for each other is enviable. Everyone should have love like this!

Yes!!!!! Totally satisfying and loved the ending. Don't stop now. I think this is actually more satisfying that the Sookie Stackhouse books. Well I do love Sookie...but Emma is awesome!!! Loved the focus on the Elements and can't wait to see what Water has up his sleeve. The best in the series by far.

A great trilogy had me wanting more and more. The beginning of this third book through me off and I was going to stop but I gave it a chance and I wasn't let down. Hats off to the author and the imagination that brought together this epic tail.

Denise Grover Swank cranked out another page-turner with Sacrifice. This book is book three in the Chosen series, and I think this series will challenge to be as good as The Hunger Games or Divergent series. I'm eager to see more!

So glad the last book in the series is coming out in a couple weeks! Don't know what I'd do if I had to wait too much longer to find out how this ends. The end of Sacrifice leaves you with a definite cliffhanger.... Awesome series, highly recommend!

My mouth dropped at the last sentence of Sacrifice. Book 3 of the Chosen series follows suit. The author does a wonderful job in describing every detail, you feel like you're there. I can't wait for book 4!

I loved this book! I didn't want it to end and what a cliffhanger! I really like the character development in this installment, and can't wait to see what Denise has in store for them in the next book. I really couldn't put it down! Fantastic story!

Love, love, love this series. Not your typical mythical creatures, which makes it refreshing to read. I also love the way the author makes me feel like I'm right there in the middle of all the action. My adrenaline races and its hard to put the book down. I've had my nose stuck in this book for the past couple of days, my family will be happy to see my face again!

This series had me on the edge of my seat. Action packed the whole book! I've got my friends hooked also. Great new twist on Paranormal romance. Absolutely loved it.

This one took me a little longer to get through. Felt like it dragged a little in the middle but when I finished it I imnediately started the last one.

4.5 stars!! It has been an incredible journey and finding out more about this paranormal story. Denise has kept me completely engrossed in the story, there were parts that were a little slow and could've done without bit the overall story is intriguing - I am so ready to read the last book and hopefully a happy ending!

A little drawn out and lengthy....I could do with less car chases and battle scenes. However, I am ready to read the final book and see how everything plays put in the end!

This one was a snappy read for me. I liked the twists and the escalating conflict. Definitely had to see how it resolved in Book 4!
