Anyone can write a great fiction novel. That's right, ANYONE! You don't need an M.F.A, or a PhD, or ABCDEFG, you just need to know how to do a few things really well...and get lucky. But Thomas Jefferson said it best when he said: “I’m a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.”

So You Want to Write a Novel… was written for the many who’ve...more

I really liked it!

Stumbled upon this free gem on Amazon and what a great find! Relatively short, meaningful, relevant, and on-point. Just enough detail to make you dangerous and not so much that it induces sleep. If you plan to write a novel (or any book, really), then you'll find some take-aways in "So You Want to Write a Novel..."

So You Want to Write a Novel by J.P. Kurzitza is a book written for novelists who are struggling with writing their novel. This book provides an explanation, and the structure needed, for writing a great novel.

I enjoyed this quick-to-read booklet. Inside its pages, I found some good solid advice on writing. The plot outlines were spectacular examples. Reading this has encouraged me to plan out my storyline a little bit more before starting to write. My only preference would have been if the writer didn't use so much slang language. Aside from that, I obtained some new ideas on writing, and helpful information.

Very quick book on coming up with story ideas but several nuggets.

It covers coming up with a story, planning it out, fleshing out characters, 2 story templates (one "simple" and one with interweaving plots that combine in the final act) and lists some helpful tools.

Wish I'd read it this time last year!

Quick, to the point, useful if you have an idea but no clue how to proceed.
