Is it possible to have a hesitant relationship with a love or hate book? Because I think that's where my mind is at. Parts of this book were enjoyable for me, while many others were "I want to choke a bitch right now" moments.

One of only three books to have ever made me cry. The emotional roller-coaster of this story was trying, insightful, funny, inappropriate, sad and even hurtful just to mention a few. It also took a while for the story to take ahold of me, however, the writing was good and was able to keep me on track. This was a 1,253 page book on my Nook although, I read it in 4 days, so something was jiving!

Ugh!! I have never, I repeat never, been so annoyed with a character in all my life like I was with Kiera. Hate is such a strong word, but yeah, I hate her. She is such a selfish bitch. I am so baffled at my response for the last three books I've read. It is so unlike me to read a Young Adult/College Romance book and actually like it. But I've come to the conclusion that if done right, for me at least, then I will enjoy it very much.

Thoughtless is a compassionate but heartbreaking story of three people caught in a contemporary love triangle. I read this book last Sunday, and I don't know if it was because Andy Whitfield passed away, or because it was the 10th anniversary of 9/11...maybe a bad case of the "Sunday blues" or simply because the angst was ratcheted up so high in the story. I could not get past chapter one. It's like walking into a room and you get a whiff of something bad and toxic. So you get out of there FAST.

Once I started reading Kiera's first person POV, I was IMMEDIATELY struck by how vapid she is. She's leaving Ohio for the first time with her boyfriend, Denny. UPDATE: 03/03/13 - I just finished my third re-read of this incredible book and it was just as intense and exciting and emotionally charged as it was the first time around. Kiera and Kellan will always hold a special place in my heart and their story is equally frustrating and beautiful at the same time. I just love them! Now on to my re-read of Effortless and by then the third book, Reckless, will be released and I can finally see how this amazing love story continues!

WHAT A TERRIFYING READ.

i was absorbed. the characters were surprisingly believable and real. the emotional roller coaster which i experience while reading was definitely one of the factors that oddly enough made me decide to give this 5/5. it was DOWNRIGHT INCREDIBLE.

The writing was rich and was built so complex and heavily that you find yourself intrigued and mad at the same time with where the storyline will go.
