I really liked this book. It is very easy to read and would probably be enjoyable for anybody who likes fantasy type books. The story reminded me a lot of Märchenmond, a book that I've read many years ago when I actually really was part of the "Young Adult" target audience.

If you expect high-end literature with lots of twists and turns, this might not be your book, but if you just want to be entertained and escape into a different world for a few hours, its exactly right for you.

This is very much a teen-boy book. The writing style is very simple and straightforward, at times almost too much so. But--it's an adventure story. Fair enough.

Kevin has worked his butt off to get into varsity basketball. Problem is, he's short. Scott is a farmer from Animas, New Mexico. He graduated from New Mexico State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business. He has a beautiful wife and two little girls. He scribbled his first novel, The Dreamer, into his notebook while driving tractor and is currently writing the second book in the series.
