Final volume of the first arc is a disappointment compared to the original novel and the anime adaptation. While in the other versions the climax of the story is pure chaos as the various characters come together for the final conflict, the way it's presented here is just random. When Seiji pops up, or when Celty dives off the roof, the events don't feel connected to everything else that's going on. The story's still good, but it could've been done a lot better.
the conclusion to the main story worked really well for me, but some of the wind down felt a little disconnected and I wasn't quite sure what to make of some of it - how surprised I was supposed to be I guess. Some of the wrapup just seemed sort of meh. Still, an overall fun series and a solid ending.
Saya kira manga Durarara!! masih lanjut, tau-tau pas saya baca vol. 4 ternyata udah tamat. Walau agak sedikit beda sama anime-nya (saya tertarik gara-gara nonton anime-nya lol), tapi gak melenceng dari cerita aslinya kok :D

Very fun series. Everything wraps up with this book, and while I was unsure that the story could be told well in only four volumes, I think that Narita and crew did a pretty good job of it! And it's interesting watching the anime and reading the manga at the same time--there are quite a few differences, so even though they're essentially telling the same story, they sometimes feel like they aren't. I'll definitely plan on reading the novel at some point as well.
I thaught it was amazing and the ending was the best I have ever read. I would recommend the DRRR!! series to anyone who loves comedy.

Ryohgo Narita (成田 良悟, Narita Ryōgo) is a Japanese light novelist. He won the Gold Prize in the 9th Dengeki Novel Prize for Baccano!, which was made into a TV anime in 2007.[1] His series Durarara!! was also made into a TV anime, which began airing January 2010
