It's Jonah and Laurie's first Valentine's Day. What could be a better way to celebrate than with a little kinky superhero role-play? According to Laurie, pretty much anything. Bummed, but unwilling to pressure his boyfriend into something he doesn't want to do, Jonah resigns himself to celebrating a more traditional Valentine's Day. But Jonah isn't the only one who hates t...more

This short story is part of the Less Than Three Kiss Me Quick Valentine bundle. It is the first Valentine’s Day together for Jonah and Laurie, the two MC from the story Wanting. Laurie is the shyer of the two, both in public and in private. When Jonah casually mentions his wish for Valentine’s Day is to role play as superheroes (Batman and Superman, specifically) Laurie is abashed, then believes it to be a joke. It is anything but a joke for Jonah, who is upse...more

As usual, Jonah is just totally fucking adorable and Laurie is Laurie. Sweet and kind and patient and all.

But seriously, how can anyone be as adorably cute as Jonah? I swear, if I could, I would definitely give me a huge, gigantic bear hug (though it would probably be awkward since I just read about him having kinky sex with Laurie and all. . .).

Anyway this is just a sweet and hot follow up to the first book Wanting. Definitely recommended to those who want a curl-up-in-a-chair-on-a-rainy-day ki...more

This is the sequel for short FREE story, Wanting (which you should read, considering that it is free!). I must say that the story grabs me from the very first line:

"I want you to be the Batman to my Superman."

Isn't that just dorky and adorable at the same time?!? *grin*. See, Jonah wants to have a little flair in his relationship with Laurie (although it has only been six months) by wearing costume as some sort of foreplay. Hey, it's Valentine's Day, right? But Laurie thinks it's ridiculous and...more

So I totally read these in the wrong order. I downloaded this when I saw the announcement of a Valentine's release on Piper's twitter the other day, and saved it for today. It was super adorable (uh, someone said superhero roleplay and I was THERE) and hit the V-Day lunch break spot, but I was like, "Okay, there's more to this story, I know it..."

And then I found Wanting. Should've checked GR before and I would've known BUT! Cannot say that reading it in the wrong order hurt my enjoyment, becaus...more

First this is the sequel to Wanting. If you haven’t read Wanting IMO you’re an idiot since it is free and very enjoyable. But if you skipped that you can read this as a standalone.

It’s always nice to revisit old friends when an author writes the sequel/follow-up well.

This was great seeing Jonah and Laurie again. They are very cute together and I loved seeing them again. Was a very enjoyable little snippet into their lives and how they are doing together. This story is around their first Valentin...more

I loved Laurie and Noah in their book, Wanting, so I was thrilled to discover that I could revisit them one more time. This short story about their first Valentine's Day together was so cute. Noah wants to venture into something a little different and fun that makes Laurie uncomfortable. Laurie's response dampens their mood and forces them both to think about their relationship. The big question is what will this do to Valentine's Day for them.

Nice little holiday treat! I do hope there will be m...more

I think Piper Vaughn is always going to be on a winner, whenever she writes about such wonderful characters as Jonah and Laurie. A heart of stone would be required in order not to experience wistful sighs, oohs and aahhs, and just general warm and squishy loveliness when reading about these two guys. Oh, I wish this latest little snippet had been longer;I know it's part of an anthology, but it would be great for an entire novel (novella, even), to be dedicated to the relationship between Jo and...more

I enjoy this short story. It's sweet and at the same time looking at serious issues in a relationship.

- if one wants something new, how does he communicate it to the other person?
- how does he react to rejection?Angry, leaving, or accepting?
- how does the other person react to the suggestion?

I'm happy with the way the mcs behavè.

This is a sweet follow up to Wanting in which Jonah and Laurie celebrate their first Valentine's Day together...with a little superhero role play.

Sweet just like the first one. Love Jonah and Laurie. I am so glad they are working through their issues. Laurie is kind of cute when I imagine him blushing. :)

Such a sweet little peak into Jonah and Laurie's first Valentines's Day together!
This was so cute, I just wish it were longer, because I'm greedy like that! :)

Wonderful sequel to Wanting.

The story ended a little too soon, but it makes me want to read a third chapter in the life of Jonah and Laurie.

Read this before I read the first book for which this is a sequel. Even happier with this one now that I saw how the characters got together.

Such a cute little story with Jonah and Laurie. I had no trouble picturing them in their underoos. Love the cover too!

LOVE these two. This is a much requested sequel to Wanting which is part of a Less Than Three bundle of stories for Valentine's day.

In this story, Laurie and Jonah are living together at college and as Valentine's Day approaches, Jonah has some ideas for celebrating that Laurie isn't that comfortable with. I loved the way these two interacted in this story - realistic, but still loving and sweet.

Honestly, I could read about these two for a long time. How about it Piper dear??

Laurie and Jo spend their first valentines Day together, as Batman and Superman.

Sweet, short, 22 pages.

This short written-for-Valentine's Day story was abso-fuckin'-adorable. I loved Laurie and Jonah in the short story Wanting and even though this was only about 19 eBook pages, it was just really cute and I loved seeing the boys together again. I wouldn't really recommend this short without reading Wanting first, because you have to fall in love with Laurie and Jonah before reading this story to get the full impact. I believe Wanting is still a free-download.

A great read and can easily be read as a stand alone if needed. It's a really short but sweet read.

Hilarious and nice story. Laurie and Jo are one cute couple and I love them.

Great balance of angst and fluff, very fitting for the length of the piece.

That was just too short. I want to read more about Jonah and Laurie.

Piper Vaughn wrote her first love story at eleven and never looked back. Since then, she’s known that writing in some form was exactly what she wanted to do. A reader at the core, Piper loves nothing more than getting lost in a great book—fantasy, young adult, romance, she loves them all (and has a two thousand book library to prove it!). She grew up in Chicago, in an ethnically diverse neighborho...more
