Obviously as the author I think this is a great story. It was forged after watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy and reading the Silmarillion. This is not a spin off. There are no orcs, balrogs and elves. I have created my own mythology, races, characters, siege weapons, etc.

Book one deals with the creation story and the rise of evil. The first nine chapters are devoted to a compressed telling of the history of the nine fallen worlds and the first six ages of Allivar. From that point the main c

I usually do not read fantasy but was encouraged by many posts on Facebook. I was surprised how quickly I couldn't put the book down. I found the creation of the universe very interesting. I laughed out loud several times at characters who became very real to me. My children (ages 13 and 11) are reading it as well and love it. They are huge fans of Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, etc. As a parent I would encourage you to read ahead of your children in case they have questions (one did and the oth ...more

It took a while for me to truly get into the book, but after the first few chapters, I was hooked! I loved how detailed the first few chapters were. The author gave me a great view of the history of the wonderful universe. I’m a huge J.R.R. Tolkien fan, but I have to say that this was 100 times better than the Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, and the Silmarillion combined! The races of Allivar’s living beings are much more creative than elves, men, dwarves, hobbits, etc. I think that even if you w ...more

The adventure begins as Arimar sets on a quest to save the seven races of Allivar. The fallen Hagarfuse is bent on destroying the last of ten worlds and has wagered a bet with the Creator that Arimar will not succeed. Arimar is not so sure himself that he can survive the pitfalls surely to come his way. I found myself wanting to rush things up but the author is laying a foundation for books 2 & 3. Stay with it! Can't wait to start the next in the series! The story should appeal to any fan of ...more

I was pleasantly surprised with this book and I will admit that the first 10 or so chapters were difficult for me to read through. I understand that the author wanted to properly establish the history of his created world so that there would be no questions for the reader.

I definitely was not expecting the ending of this first book and am looking forward to reading the next stage in this adventure story.
