As the last season of Family Affair comes to a close, primetime teen star Kaitlin Burke is no closer to deciding what's next after the show ends, even with cast of opinionated family members and staff who all think they know what's best for her. What's a starlet to do when she has the world at her French-pedicured feet and can't decide her next move?

It took me 2 days to finish this book. Why? Well, first of all, it has this eye catching cover, which makes you want to bring this book with you wherever you go. Second of all, this isn’t just an ordinary series; it’s different than the first 3, very different—less drama, more Kailtin. Last but not least, its not a challenging book, you don’t need to carry a dictionary around you 24/7, because there isn’t any vocabularies that are difficult, well at least not for me.

This book was shallow. Extremely shallow. I liked the first couple Hollywood Life books, but this one was about shopping and paparazzi and the harsh life of hollywood, when the books before were about her being a down to earth star, and were very relataible. This book was all about mean girls and all the shallow things with life, which I have found to be fun for a bit but after awhile you get bored. Hopefully book #5 will be better!!

Awesome continuous of the book! Totally recommend it, even though it gets boring at times! Lol

Family affair has come into an end and everyone is lost in words for it. Everyone in Kaitlin's family is freaking. However, she is faced with some real stuff and fights with her best friend Liz. She meets Ava and Lauren who end up being total tools and a distraction for her but she figured it out herself before it was too late! She has a panic attack while at a photo shoot for Sure magazine because Ava
The latest installment of the "My Hollywood Life" series, in which teen actress Kaitlyn has to deal with her hit show going off the air after 15 years and struggling to figure out what to do next in her career. She ends up falling in with two of Hollywood's biggest partiers (who I'm sure are based off Paris and Nicole...) and begins making headlines for her company and life more than her career.

I like this series because it's fun - pretty much G-rated, surprisingly - and there are lots of littl

Kaitlin Burke is under a lot of pressure, FAMILY AFFAIR is about to go off air and she have been on it since she was in kindergarden so she has a lot of memory of it, her parent, Lancey and Nadine are pressuring for her to find another big job and Kaitlin and her best friend, Liz, are fighting. Ava and Lauren seem to understand Kaitlin. Kaitlin starts hanging out with them. But they are party animals and they don't really have good press about them self. People are starting to give Kaitlin some ...more
I don't remember where I found this title, but once I picked it up, I realized that this was book 3 in a series. I was so disappointed! I was even debating tossing it back and rerequesting it after I had read the first few, but decided against it when thinking about other YA books I had read out of order and it wasn't too bad. And this wasn't too bad! An entertaining read if anything.

Kaitlin Burke is finally experiencing something that everyone in Hollywood, at least those on the small screen, hates the most... having the show that made you a household name come to an end. That's right folks - Family Affair is finally coming to a close, and you know that's making the headlines on all the tabloids.

However, that isn't the only thing making the headlines.

After her show comes to an end, everyone wants to know "
A light, quick read (I did it in one day). I grabbed it off of the "new books" table at the library on a whim and didn't realize that it was actually the fourth book in a series, however, aside from the mysterious incident in Vegas it did a pretty good job of standing alone.

Kaitlin is a 17-year-old girl who has been on the same sitcom since she was 4 (yet it somehow aired for 15 years, gotta love editing) and is crushed that it is ending. Her family and management team are busy pressing her into

There is a reason this book is titled Paparazzi Princess. When Kaitlin’s show is canceled, she is getting a lot of bad advice and she caves in to peer pressure. Oh Kaitlin, I am so disappointed. I felt like I could always count on you to be a good role model. This time around, you went off the deep end hanging out with the wrong crowd and making bad choices.

Reading about Kaitlin in all these new scenarios was so different than the earlier books. She was out of control big time! She was goi
Family Affair's ending is getting closer and closer and Kaitlin still hasn't decided what she wants to do after the show is over. Kaitlin's family and friends are pushing her in all sorts of directions and she's not sure what she wants. On top of the career trouble, she's also had a big fight with her best friend, Liz. Then Kaitlin meets two of Hollywood's biggest party animals. Hanging out with the girls seems like fun at first, but is it really worth all the drama?

When I saw this in the bookst
Okay, I'll admit...this series is starting to get a little...un-good. First of all, the main character talks like she's 25. Um, hello? Jen Calonita? You made your main character sixteen. STICK WITH IT. Even when she started her over-excessive partying stage, she talked to her friends like she was talking to the queen of England. A little advice to the author: Know your characters. Second of all, this book was majorly stressful. When the main character is stressed, so was I. Which is good emotion ...more

Secrets of My Hollywood Life: Paparazzi Princess written by Jen Calonita is a really great book. When I was reading this book, it really grabbed my attention because it was about a movie star who had a great boyfriend, with amazing opportunities and was dealing with big crises. There was many crazy situations going on, which made the book interesting, but hard to wrap my head around. Close to the ending, something kind of surprising happened, but I wish that Calonita made it a little more obviou ...more
I luv this series! This book was good, but not my favorite. I was excited to see what Kaitlin would do after her show is cancelled. But as she encounters wannabee Nicole and Paris's, it annoys me. I get how she just need a break, and sometimes you have bad friends and all, but why would she let it go so far? And I luved Austin, but lately he seems dull, and I wouldn't mind if she got a new boyfriend in the next book, and the whole seperation from Liz and Laney bugged me as well. There was a lot ...more
This can be the very depressing story of Kaitlin's life. Her panic attacked can proved it. Well I am so amazed to her on how she can handle her family. Yeah! I meant her family not her career. Can't they work on their own & stop suffocating her? She really does need a break.

It's fun to read Sky's standing-up for Kaitlin. I really hope they can work again and spend time together (well, I'm not saying that they should be BFF's).

On some point, I can relate on what have been Kaitlin's & Liz'
*sigh* This felt more amateur than the previous novels. It felt rushed to me. The plot was rather weak, but I still like the main character, Kaitlyn. Though, she's too forgiving towards her Mom and her instabest friends in the novel. All of the characters in this book are so underdeveloped. There was such potential here! But there were many times when I debated quitting the novel altogether. I do think this novel would be great for preteen girls as it is relateable to witness Kaitlyn struggling ...more
I grabbed this book on my way out of the library. I had no clue that it was part of series (this seems to happen to me more often than not, though). For having no background, I still thought it was pretty cute. My only complaint was with the main character Kaitlin (who has about 22 nicknames). She was almost too sweet and innocent for what she is-- a Hollywood starlet with a controlling/crazy mom. Perhaps if I had a bit more background I'd understand how she's so normal? Kaitlin is basically the ...more
I listened to the audiobook. Had no idea this was book 4 in a series, guess that explains things, I was able to follow the story just fine but it seemed like it started in the middle of a story and I guess it did. Story was decent, I really didn't develop many feelings for the characters though.
This story was great! It was a light, quick, easy read, that is easy to read, but makes you think hard about what you're reading. Hollywood life may seem glamorous, but this book shows you the other side of the perfect life. This book does a marvelous job of connecting you to the main character. Reading the book, I felt like I was going through everything the main character was going through. When the main character felt depressed, I also felt depressed. It was like the book took you into anoth ...more
This book is my least favorite of the series only because it seems so generic for burke to go through a LAVA phase. (want to know what LAVA is? read the book and find out!) I think that Jen could have made Burke's rebellion phase a little more original or at the very least a little more... rebellious. Come on, one night out super late, buying a purse with her OWN money without asking her mom first, and going out with two new besties and blowing off some steam? Not really that big of a deal. Alth ...more
Pairing for TV Show Good Luck, Charlie: When her long-running television show is cancelled, teen star Kaitlin Burke is devastated and she’s under pressure to move on quickly. Her co-stars all seem to have projects waiting in the wings for them, but Kaitlin has nothing in her plans. As she contemplates what to do with herself, she befriends two girls who are all about partying and spending money. Along the way, Kaitlin makes some bad choices with these girls until she is finally able to accept wh ...more

Paparazzi Princess by Jen Calonita was a captivating read. It followed the life of reality television star Kaitlin Burke, after she finds out her show is ending. Since this show has been her life since she was a preschooler, Kaitlin is very emotionally upset by this new development. In order to let out her feelings, Kaitlin starts doing bad things, and may pay dearly for it. I really enjoyed this book and had a lot of trouble putting it down. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys real ...more
This is such a great series. The books are a lot of fun and very cute. Paparazzi Princess, is my favorite of the series so far. The series is very clean, so they are an excellent choice for younger teens and middle grade readers.

The writing is very simplistic and readable. Kaitlin is a great character! An excellent heroine and fictional role model! I was glad to see Kaitlin make some mistakes in this one and still come out on top, by taking responsibility for her actions. If only all Hollywood
This was yet another amazing addition to the series. Kaitlin Burke is finishing up her last few episodes of Family Affairs in this book as well as looking for a job after Family Affairs ends. Kaitlin has to deal with friendship issues, health issues, and letting go. I really enjoyed this book because you realize that the way Kaitlin feels about leaving FA is the way you felt about graduating elementary school, you've been the for so long. You've grown up there. I would recommend this to people h ...more
I really liked this one from the series, probably more than the others. This one felt very authentic and true to how a young person deals with stress. Obviously this was magnified by a bazillion, but all the same, it was relatable. She fought with her family, friends, and kept it all bottled up until it became too much for her.

Ava and Lauren were obviously Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. It's fun how Jen Calonita wrote about people we recognize without actually saying their names. Bad behavior d
Probably my favorite installment of the book series so far!

I'm so happy Kaitlin finally said NO, and stood up to her entourage/stress-makers. I'm so excited to read more books, because they keep getting better. I loved the reality (no pun intended) of Ava and Lauren. I've seen so many reality stars get caught with stolen property charges. They seemed like the vain, Hollywood girls you'd expect. It was getting a little unbelievable with how nice everyone seemed to be around Kaitlin!

In this book after Family affair is canceled Kaitlin is in total denial and sort of goes insane by hanging out with a bunch of backstabbing party girls and spending a ton of money. I liked it because it was realistic. She's feeling pressure like a normal girl only she's worried about finding a new career path and we're worried about the big math test next week. She screws up a few times but she comes back and is better than ever. Well she does have two new enemies....

This is the 4rth book in the Secrets of my Hollywood Life series. I loved this book! The storyline is Kaitlin trying to find her next TV show or movie to star on after Family Affairs goes off the air. Liz and Kaitlin get into a fit and don't speak to each other for a whole month! I don't want to spoil the ending, but it's pretty predictable (but I love it anyways:)I can not wait for the next book, but I have to wait a whole year:(

Hi Goodreads!
I'm Jen Calonita, a YA author who loves what I do because it lets me connect with all of you (and no, I wasn't intending for that to rhyme!).

I've been writing ever since I can remember, but it was fourth grade when I put my "three wishes" for a genie down on paper. They were:
#1. Buy all the Cabbage Patch Kids in the world and give them away for free (because apparently that was how I
