Angelica Bentley
This is the sequel to “Patience Becomes a Lady” and the challenge in such cases is always to produce a stand-alone book with enough information about what went on before, that the new reader can follow the narrative. Olivia Andem accomplishes this elegantly, making discreet references to past events that aid comprehension but do not interrupt the flow. Not only did I love Olivia's perky, fun personality I also really loved every second of Patience Becomes a Lady. Olivia has put much time and research into the early 1800 in England, my favorite romantic era, and it shows! The wording was spectacular. I felt like I was reading a Jane Austin novel. Thank you Olivia for this wonderful adventure into the life of upscale England society. I felt goose ...more

This is an accurate, appealing book about a girl and her family set in the time of Jane Austin in England. The author has done extensive research and is completing the sequel to this story.

I love history...to me it is as real as if it happened just yesterday!

I love drama! During the golden age of movies (when my mother's business was next door) I spent many hours every week at the local theater under the watchful eye of the kind lady proprietor.

I love writing! My greatest inspiration came from Mr. Clark, author of The Oxbow Incident, when I attended his writing classes at a local
