This is the sequel to “Patience Becomes a Lady” and the challenge in such cases is always to produce a stand-alone book with enough information about what went on before, that the new reader can follow the narrative. Olivia Andem accomplishes this elegantly, making discreet references to past events that aid comprehension but do not interrupt the flow. I met Olivia Andem at my Aunts house for Easter this past April and was gifted this beautiful novel. Not only did I love Olivia's perky, fun personality I also really loved every second of Patience Becomes a Lady. Olivia has put much time and research into the early 1800 in England, my favorite romantic era, and it shows! The wording was spectacular. I felt like I was reading a Jane Austin novel.
