Patience Becomes A Lady, my book club’s recent selection, was as enjoyable as a yummy sticky toffee pudding. It had been years since I’d read historical fiction and I found myself asking why there had been a gap.

This is an accurate, appealing book about a girl and her family set in the time of Jane Austin in England. The author has done extensive research and is completing the sequel to this story.

I love history...to me it is as real as if it happened just yesterday!

I love drama! During the golden age of movies (when my mother's business was next door) I spent many hours every week at the local theater under the watchful eye of the kind lady proprietor.

I love writing! My greatest inspiration came from Mr. Clark, author of The Oxbow Incident, when I attended his writing classes at a local
