Physics. Zanita Masterson knew nothing about the subject, and cared little to learn -- until a reporting job led her to one Tyberius Augustus Evans. The rogue scientist was six feet of piercing blue eyes, rock-hard muscles and maverick ideas, and the notion that he was seriously interested in her seemed insane. But a night of monster movies, cookie-dough ice cream and wild ...more

I want a Tyberius Augustus Evans for myself!! Who woulda thought you could have a majorly sexy physicist (my apologies to all physicists, but really...)? Zanita and Tyber meet when she accidentally winds up in his physics seminar (she thought it was a psychics' seminar). Tyber is intrigued by her, the only female in the seminar and one who is obviously WAY out of her element. Zanita has decided she is not going to have any more romantic relationships. She continues to insist on this, even as the ...more

I can't recall ever giving any book a five star mark, but I have to admit that this book was better than I ever expected. I loved this book from the first chapter and I found that I couldn't put this book down. Dara Joy wrote with a perfect blend of eccentric behavior by Tyberius, unintentional comedy from Zanita, a few added characters with such eccentric behavior that you just can't help loving them all.

From the moment Physics Tyberius Augustus Evans meet Zanita Masterson his live turned upsi

When the reader learns, in the first few pages, that Zanita Masterson had never experienced a sexual climax, they are caught. High Energy by Dara Joy is about sex, love and lust. Their quest to expose a charlatan is just vegetable garnish to the main course of meat. Tyberius Augustus Evans is, in every way, a man’s man and sure to arouse females, causing their juices to freely flow. A masterpiece in literature it isn’t as it is apt to be forgotten in time but it does inspire the young, as to wha ...more

This is my 2nd favorite book of all time. Tyber and Zanita have to be the most hilarious couple to ever be in a book. Tyber is patient, intelligent, and (if the description is anything to go by) super hot. Can't you just get a picture in your head? Wow. . .

Anyway. . . Zanita has decided to not be in any more relationships. She meets Tyberius Augustus Evans (what a name!) by accident. Their "non-relationship" goes from there. I have never laughed out loud while reading a book as much as I did whe

I'm not sure how I managed to like this book as much as I did since the plot had some mighty big holes in it and the heroine was the dumbest character I've ever read about - and I read a fair bit so that's saying something! Actually, I do know why I liked it...Tyber! What a man!!! Not a lot of character development but he was to die for regardless. Maybe I should re-shelve this as fantasy instead of romance. :P

Several reviewers on here and Amazon have complained about the heroine saying she is stupid and passive. I want to know what book they're reading cause I don't see her that way at all. She was always challenging Tyber and didn't understand the physics, but she held her own in many I instances. Sure she made some silly mistakes, but that doesn't mean she is stupid. I find people who judge others in real life because they have a specific knowledge base and others don't and therefore are 'stupid', ...more

I'd forgotten how fun I thought this book was. Who wouldn't want a guy like Tyber in their life?

I fully enjoyed High Energy by Dara Joy. It was so enjoyable and funny that sometimes I found myself happily laughing out loud. After I started, there was no stopping.

Tyberius Augustus Evans is a super-hot, famous physicist and an eccentric, but at the same-time a delightful hero. Zanita Masterson is a bit confused and has decided to rule out relationships and focus on advancing her career. They meet by accident, she mistakes his seminar filled by all men, Physics, with a seminar in Psychic H

It's been years since I read this book, and I read it in one afternoon, because that's now elementary and juvenile this book is--not because it's good. If I could give a book zero stars, this book would be my first candidate.

I read this book because of rave reviews, but instead, I found my intelligence insulted, and nearly stopped reading the book 3/4 of the way through. I only continued, because it doesn't require much thought or brains to read this poorly written book. High Energy read like a

Tyber he's a interesting character, "it is you who has piqued my interest, Zanita. Did I tell you I have a cat? No? Well, I do. Good night." Total weirdo if you ask me, well a total hot weirdo haha. At the same time he has this alpha image going for him, "I believe I am about to claim you, Ms. Masterson." He's also quite a smarta**, "well, let me think...I could say it's intuition or even my great psychic ability, but perhaps it was all the yelling - 'Oh my God what's happening please don't stop ...more

I've never read a romantic novel before so this was a completely different style of writing for me to think about and understand. Although i have not finished the book yet I cannot wait for the ending, this is an amazing well written and sizzling book. Its a common love story with an average girl and a too good to be true man named Tyberius augustus Evans. "The rogue scientist was six feet of piercing blue eyes, rock-hard muscles and maverick ideas, and the notion that he was seriously interest ...more

Hey! I'm reading these reviews and can't believe that anyone wouldn't get a kick out of this book. I laughed my head off. I guess there's no accounting for some peoples (lack of) sense of humor. What's not funny about a burned out mathematician who thinks he's on a pirate ship and cooks for the Captain. How about every time this gorgeous physics professor goes to make love to his sweetheart he tries to convince her it's an experiment or lesson in physics. The banter between Tyber and Zanita is h ...more

Zanita is a small town reporter, doing a story on psychic healing. Accidentally she walks into a physics seminal and meets Tyber, the super hot and brainy teacher. Tyber is immediately attracted to Zanita, because she is nonlinear and she interests him. This was a zany and quirky ride, just to zany for me. Tyber lives in a castle with a genius mathematician, Booey, who thinks he's on a pirate ship; his cat Hambone eats strange things and could be a secondary character himself; he sleeps in an oy ...more

This is one of my all time favourites. It's charming, funny, lightly steamy and down-right sweet. The characters are fully developed and the romance develops nicely.
If you are looking for a light weight escapist read then I highly recommend this book and the follow up in the series High Intensity.

Physics, Fun, and Romance

Lighthearted romp as a Physicist genius meets a woman reporter with non-linear thinking. Humorous, with touches of crazy that will give you chuckles. The love is hot, sexy and yet has a playfulness and sweetness.

Excellent scientific mystery

Loved that beyond the love story was a well developed story that could easily have been a mystery Tyber really broke down Zanitas defenses bit by bit while helping expose a con artist WONDERFUL story development

I definitely recommend reading this book. It's not your every day romance but it has its own appeal. I especially loved how Tyber and Zanita came together. It was funny and worth reading.

This was a good story. It has a lot of big words in it about Physics so beware you may need a dictionary to read some of it. There were some parts of the book that were a little long winded about theory's in science but overall a decent older read.

This is a seriously cute book. It was humourous and engaging - nothing deep but still, a really good way to spend a few hours. I think I smiled and laughed the whole way through the book. I didn't understand most of the science, but then, maybe the author didn't either - it doesn't matter; it was just good fun! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a light-hearted read.

I warn you that this is most definately an "adult" book. It has plenty of details on things you're apparently not supposed to know about until a littl later on. To all adults however, that like a good romance, this is your story. It's filled with funny quotes, sexy scenes and heart stopping moments. The perfect romance.

Great book! Each character's unique personality grabbed my attention and would not let go. I could clearly visualize them interacting with each other. Tyber and Zanita's pairing was so well crafted. Tyber's home, Hambone and Blooey provide a excellent backdrop for this book. Looking forward to reading High Intensity.

and just got a used (but pretty darn good looking) copy of the hardcover two in one version of these two related stories... so, breaking that in now. :)
