The Melting Ice books are part of one of my favorite DJ series. The men are tough, the threats to life and limb are terrible and imminent, and the evil gangsters who make everyone’s life miserable and honorable always seem to be winning until the last moment. Then there are the slightly flawed detectives or federal agents who protect the victims of injustice or those about to testify with unstoppable determination. Oh, yes, and there is always romance. Not the frilly kind, but the deeply moving ...more

So far my favorite from Melting Ice series.
Very unlikely pair, as usual, and I have to say I didn't like Cal much at first, but just as his pov started, I immediately warmed up to him. He's sweet and caring person, despite his hard living. Dominick's great too, I loved him from the beginning and you won't believe me I even felt for Percy at the end. The last scene with him and his desperate feelings for Dominick were sympathetic to me.

And great HEA, finally!!! xD I've always felt the endings of

This series is a total guilty pleasure for me. :)

This story is the weakest in terms of plot in for this series. I really didn't believe Claixto's love at first sight claims especially when at the time he was at sex party being offer as a sexual favor to some random character and the love of your life was being drug and most possibly being rape by his at the time boyfriend. The fact that you only remember the person years later because of a tattoo on his ass cheek doesn not get me to buy the cookies your selling. I felt that everything was rush ...more

I can't pass up a good wit sec romance...and this one was good. I loved the beginning of the series. I was afraid for book 2, but loved it too. I almost wish they would stop while they are still fun. I didn't like these MC's as much. I like a little more angst in my wit sec :) Enjoyable but not necessarily a re-read. I'll keep reading future Melting Ices, because even a mediocre MI is better than a lot of others...but I wish there was a little more work the MC's had to do to get their HEA.

Dominick is a Marshall who has been assigned to protect Calixto, a "boytoy" (for lack of better words) of a mobster. Cal apparently knows Dominick before and he is determined to 'melt' the ice around Dominick's heart. The story is light, even if involves gunshots. The ending is pretty lovey-dovey, and since I am a bit in the mood for something edgy, I can only think this one as a bit so and so
Lidia
"There once was a cabin in the woods ...." ingredients that characterize the series are all there, plus there is a sweet / bitter that surrounds the lives of the protagonists and we must wait for the finale of the most moving.

I write not only for my own pleasure, but for the pleasure of my readers. I can’t remember a time in my life when I haven’t written and told stories. When I’m not writing, I’m dreaming about writing, doing something wild and adventurous, or trying to make the world a better and more open minded place to live in. I adore beautiful men, and I know I’m not alone in this! Eroticism between consenting ...more
