I LOVE cowboys!

This something happen in this novel? Probably.
It was pretty run of the mill.
And the hero was more of a prissy doctor than a cowboy (la! That made me so sad!).
There was a secret baby plot (how could there not be?) and there was…there was…misunderstandings? A hero that had problems expressing his feelings?

As you can see, a standardly dramatic Harlequin.

Did I dislike it?
Not at all! It did not move me, and I will probably forget the whole story in a

This is the sixth book in Tina Leonard's Callahan Cowboys series. I haven't read the previous books in the series, so it affected my reading and enjoyment a bit, since there are quite a few references to the other books. I was left with some questions because of that, so I recommend reading the previous books before reading this one.

The main story is, of course, Jonas trying to win Sabrina back. All of a sudden, he's accepted that Sabrina's son was his, so he has to marry her. Unfortunately, I w

This is my first Callahan story but it makes me want to go back and read the ones before. I enjoyed reading it. Its a quick read.
Jonas comes home from Ireland where supposedly he is looking for his aunt and uncle. He brings back a fiance with him on the day his brother is tying the knot for the second time. He sees the bridesmaid Sabrina his old girl friend who he thought had left him for someone else and had his baby. Sees her baby and realizes he is the father.
I guess the running story

Good book. Jonas was the last holdout in the family. When he found out that Sabrina's son was his also (contrary to what he had earlier thought) he wanted to make sure she married him. The problem was, she kept saying no! Sabrina loves Jonas, but she doesn't feel he is ready for marriage. He has a habit of running when he doesn't like what is going on, and she has told him he has to come to terms with his past before she can be part of his future. Jonas doesn't agree that he runs away - he just ...more

This book should not be attempted to be read before the rest of the series. Most romance sequels where they feature spin off from characters introduced in previous books don't have to be read in a specific order to appreciate the later books but the beginning of this one felt like it jumped into the middle of the book. The characters weren't properly introduced and the author assumes that all readers would already understand the relationships between characters. Since it seemed like their past h ...more

You can tell by looking at the book that it is no serious piece of literature. It is a romance novel and it pretty much follows the basic format. The subplot about Jonas' parents is interesting and my guess is there is a sequel that will pick up where this book stopped. I liked the way Sabrina went for what she wanted in life, and the way family was important to all the characters. Grade: B- (about the best I give this type of book).

I received this book as an ARC. Prior to this book I had no background with the characters. I wish I had known that this book was #6 in a series. The author jumped in to the story with no backgrounds on any of the characters. The book felt rushed to me, and Jonas, the main character, made stupid assumptions about his love interest, Sabrina. Overall, I would not read another book by this author, because of the lack of details and how the story was rushed.

I enjoyed the series very much. First I need to say that is necessary to read them in order so they can be appreciated properly. In every book little bit is revealed about the past and I have to say that some revelations surprised me. I love how the mystery is interlaced from the Native American, Irish folklore and even Gypsy and Hungarian [or was it Romanian] side. It was tasteful, nothing was over the top. I am looking forward for the next book - bonus stories.

Have read at least one later book in this series. Should read in order & not jump around like I have - problem with getting from used book stores...

I suspect this would have made A LOT more sense had I read the previous books.

Fast, summer read.
