Perfect! Early in the story I had a feeling that our hero and heroine would have a reasonable and responsible resolution to the conflict in the story because it was the way Susannah and Richard presented themselves as mature and rationale adults. In the end, it was no surprise when there were no unnecessary dramatic scenes and we ended up with one romantic story about two people who deserve the best. Yay.

I'm not a fan at all of kids/babies in romance novels. To me they are a passion killer having the kids underfoot all the time. So I'm just giving this one an average rating. The only reason I did read it was because I want to read the whole Kincaid series.

Good book. Matthew was desperate to get the help his son needed, and Susannah was his best hope. No one in the family knew their secret, but he had to try. Susannah had no problem providing that help. What neither of them expected was the immediate attraction they felt. But Matthew was suffering from a huge amount of guilt over Grace's death, and didn't feel he deserved any happiness, especially considering the promises he had made to Grace. Susannah also had issues of her own with the wealthy p ...more

Great read. I loved how matt developed througj the story. He am alpha but one who had the ability to realise when he neefd help and asks for it as well as going for what he wants. Susannah was a great way to bring light in the story that haf so much gloom but also developed with her fears coming to plau nut Rachael Bailey wrote it well. A bit too swet i thought i would sit better in the Sweet category but hey there was enough heat and desire to heat the pages.

What Happens in Charleston leaves you wanting more in the Kincaid series. I enjoyed reading about Matt and his son Flynn. This, like the prior book in series continue the main theme that runs though each of the books.
