I loved this book. It gave a pretty good idea of the cut-throat world of advertizing, as well as the emotions of the players in the book. Rachel had worked her way up in the ad agency from the mailroom. Her projects were good, though perhaps a bit on the safe side. Garrett was fairly new to the agency, but experienced in advertizing and known for his flashy campaigns. They were pitted against each other in a competition for the partnership. Rachel was well known for her excellence as a team play ...more
4 kinda exhausting characters. Colleagues Garrett and Rachel. Married couple Dwight and Stephanie. At least the latter couple is more likeable and interesting.

Rachel and Garrett. I can't quite understand their attraction and their relationship. A couple of kisses and holding hands, and they believe they've fallen in love. All these, without any insight at all of what they're truly feeling deep inside. No emotional, internal monologues. All the author writes about are scenes and superficial react
Conflicted about this book because the two ad execs going after the same account to win a promotion is a story I've read before (and maybe it was even an HSR) but also because the heroine is always the one that is less brilliant than the hero. Ugh. Still there were moments that I liked such as Rachel standing up to Garrett and also pursuing him she decides that she wants him. But I felt like she was always a step behind Garrett and her "win" at the end comes because of him, instead of because of ...more
4 POV's. Not the most likeable characters. The plot drew me in, but I'm sad to say I much preferred Julie James' take on a similar plot in Practice Makes Perfect (

I kinda like the story although it's just modernized the old damsel in distress problems saved by the knight in shining armor. But as a fairy-tale lover, I don't have any complaint ;p

I write funny, tender romance novels for Harlequin Superromance and Love Inspired Historical.

My next book to be released is That New York Minute, out in April 2012.

I like to set aside some of my writing time for experimental projects - I'm currently trying my hand at a humorous women's fiction novel, and I also finished a Young Adult manuscript.
