"Picture Perfect Family" by Renee Andrews is a book that has gotten me hooked on reading all of Ms. Andrews books. It is the third one I have read and frankly the fact that I laugh, cry and thoroughly enjoy her books has me hooked.

I enjoyed the journey of lessons on forgiving. I was also impressed with one of the characters because no matter the pressure to do something they remained steadfast in their opinions. I didn't like the opinion but I knew it the end how it had to work out. What I was i...more

Picture Perfect Family was definitely special.

You know a book fits under that category when they twist around things you usually don’t appreciate. In this book, there are many things I usually don’t like, such as: third-person writing, a heavy romance theme, that cute little kid who does no harm, characters who’re perfect in appearance and a swoon-worthy love-interest.

Yet, this book kept me captivated. There were dull moments, but they didn’t proceed for more than three pages, so it’s all good....more

Picture Perfect Family by Renee Andrews was quite good. However, the scene near the end isn't quite right. Casey doesn't seem to suffer any consequences for his serious drunk driving incident. He certainly would, especially being a teen. And within a month or two of the incident, Casey would know the consequences but, instead, we only learn that Nadia and Casey are back to good health. Definitely should have had another scene where we learn about Casey.

The perfect family is not always what you expect. As this story unfolds, Mandy Carter has so much grief to deal with. She has lost family. She is raising her nephew.
Then Daniel returns home from the Missions field. He feels he has to rescue Mandy from the care of their nephew so she can live her dreams.
Only her dream has changed since Kaden, her nephew, arrived as part of her life. She finds dreams can change. God's path can lead through some rough waters. God does not cause the tragedies but...more

I won this book as a FirstReads.

Since her sister and brother-in-law died after being hit by a drunk driver, 24-year-old Mandy Carter has devoted her life to raising her nephew, Kaden. When Kaden's uncle, and Mandy's long-time crush, Daniel Brantley, comes back to town, she worries that he will try to take Kaden away from her.

I liked the fact that while, in the broad strokes, this book fit the bill of a typical romance, there were some details that varied from the norm and kept the story fresh.

Definitely a christian romance well not alot of romance but the message of the book was good I think thats what kept me interested enough that you have to forgive no matter what the circumstances but another thing Mandy needed to learn was that god does everything for a reason (definitely could have been a sentiment in this book) Kaden was sweet maybe a little mature for a four year old and I liked Daniel also pretty good little book it gets the message across pretty well

This was a really touching book. I liked the characters and the situations. The little boy was the cutest. I liked that both POVs were shown and well. This was an emotional book and was very inspirational. (as the imprint implies) The ending was great and perfect too. Everything was well written and heartfelt. Enjoy

this was a sad and happy story that had me in tears for joy and sadness. I know the feeling she felt blaming god for taking away her family it happens often when someone is taken from you so suddenly but you learn to not blame him any longer
