I am seriously not even going to ask if this series can get any better! I enjoy each book in the series even more than the last. Patti Larsen definitely has a great thing going with this Hayle Coven set.
*I don't want to give any of the goodness away so I apologize right now for a cryptic review!*
Demon Child jumps right into the action with Syd and her friends out on a camping trip, which of course goes horribly wrong, for Syd at least. When is anything ever easy for her? Demon Child also brings...more

Life is never easy for Syd as someone is always trying to kill her or her family. It's hard being a regular teenager when you have a witch for a mother and a demon for a father. Toss into the mix some psycho leader from the Chosen who wants all their power for his own and things are about to get interesting. Syd finally has a group of friends at school but that is threatened by the arrival of a newcomer set on alienating her from the group. Vengeful vampires add more conflict to the situation an...more
If you haven't read any of Patti Larsen's Hayle Coven series, you are seriously missing out. Her main character, Syd, is an amazing, quirky teen full of herself and her own teen angst yet still determined to find and fulfill her role within the magical family unit. Unfortunately for her, and fortunately for the reader, this pursuit usually results in Syd's on-the-edge-of-your-seat misadventures.
But readers beware, like the first two books in this series, once you start reading it is almost impos...more

I'm sunk! Holy SWEARWORD Mrs. Larsen!!! How can you leave it that way!!!! Good thing that the first, I think 16, books are already out or I would be hunting you down and stalking you for more!!!!
This series has me hardcore addicted. I'm feigning like a meth addict.
Usually when I invest in a series anything after book 1 doesn't usually get better but worse. Almost forced so it comes across dragging and lacking. But not this series!!! I'm craving book 4 and I know that it's going to be better th...more

Another flawless delivery from Patti Larsen. Demon Child opens with Syd's personal war with her demon half. In this 3rd instalment in the Hale Coven Series, be prepared for a non-stop ride on the adventure that is Syd. From near death experiences to abducted family members and strange and creepy kids in school Syd doesn't have a moments peace. And when she's not battling her demon or the powers of evil she's getting hot 'n heavy with super sizzling Quaid (drool)

I write a lot of middle grade and YA paranormal books for someone who is afraid of the dark. And I wonder why I have to sleep with the lights on. Sometimes life is a teenaged B horror movie and I'm the one who investigates when the scary music is playing. But the voices are calling and resistance is… Yes. I am a Star Trek geek, too. And a fan of RPG’s. With a slight coolness factor since I've been...more
