Busted- A Jim Money Novella ,written by Glenn Gamble, was a freebie from the kindle store. I have another Jim Money short story, but since this was a Prequel, I decided to start with it first.
Jim Money is a track star attending college with two good friends. He starts up a gambling operation and all is well, until a cop and couple of his cronies get wind of it and demand over half of the profits ..... or else.
I'm interested in seeing what takes place after this short story. I think it could be

Jim Money is a punk, 17, a freshman, a runner, and runs a gambling house until he is Busted. Thank goodness it was a quick read because it really wasn't all that believable. He seemed older than the physical description didn't seem to fit with him at all, not to mention his college friends and girlfriend.
Things get resolved in the end, but it is never explained how -- just magical I suppose. Now on to something better, I hope.

I loved Bon Appetit, so I had to read this one.
You do learn a lot about Jim, the main character of both, and why he is as ferocious as he can be. A cruel life can sometimes make a person do cruel things. Doesn't make them necessarily bad people, they just have bad tendencies when pushed up against a wall.
Looking forward to reading more from Glenn Gamble.

This is such a poorly written "book" the real mystery is why some people give it good ratings. I would suggest that before paying anything for any of this author's writings, that you get a copy of the free story he has out there and you'll know enough to move on to people who can really write.

Former professional poker player Glenn Gamble is an author from Chicago, IL who doesn't have one of those inspiring stories where he goes to the state penitentiary to discover his gift for writing amazing stories. Instead, he worked on his craft during long romantic dates at Starbucks and Panera Bread with his laptop and a story. His inspiration came from friends who encouraged him to pursue his ...more
