Magnolia Cristiana St. Claire was originally written as a YA novel. However the primary objective was for the readers to experience the multicultural traditions and eccentricities that do exist. Magnolia and Roberto, after spending most of their childhood years together, go on to pursue their own dreams and careers. There has never been any doubt that they would reunite and when they do, they marry shortly after as they move into a loving relationship. Their relationship was not rushed and stood ...more

An unusual book from Maria Mitchell. This book had all the Latin flare, Spanish and Mexican influence and Cajun Bayou Gypsies which made it a really different read (probably one of the most different I have read in a bit)plus a read with all the settings I love, I still felt it was missing something. I almost felt it was kind of rushed or important aspects skipped over in its' 180 pages. I think if she would have gone deeper into Magnolia's and Roberto's relationship, it would have bumped it up ...more
