I think this is a book for boys; all the main characters were male, a change which I'd usually welcome, however in this circumstnace and I found the testostrone a little stifling if I'm honest.
Alex was an okay character but not overly interesting; Levi was annoying and seemed to lack basic common sense most of the time and Max, well he was just an arrogant, self centered idiot. Being inside Max's head (he's a first-person character with serious issues!) is like being on a roller-coaster ride: it's very scary, but great fun, and when you're done you want another go.
"Bullet Boys" is a wonderful book set on beautiful but bleak North Dartmoor (I grew up on the moors and Kennen's portrayal is perfect). Having read this book I went and bought her others. Great stuff.

the book is to boyish it has a story but it is soo blatantly for boys it might as well of said for boys on the front cover
I think it was a great book not my usual genre but amazing, funny and page turning.. slow start but still great
Like this YA author and this is a good tense, exciting read that boys especially will enjoy. Bit of an obvious twist but doesn't matter, and not sure of the ending (is that really the best option?) but well written characters and a visual sense of the chase on the moors.
