I had extremely high expectations for this book, because the title immediately grabbed me. I admit it: I fit the criteria set forth therein. And I'm happy to say that this book completely met, then blew past, all my expectations. It is exactly what it promises to be, and it's hysterical.

The Book of Quotations for People Who Hate Quotations takes famous quotes and shopworn expressions and adds to them -- literally, and to hilarious effect. It has a snappy comeback to all of the purported "answer

Loved this book. Reading it got me through my blue funk over the Saints' playoff loss.
Like the blurb says: it's for people "tired of relentlessly inspirational or aggressively cheerful people." (I wear garlic around my neck to ward off the relentlessly cheerful!) Authors Tom Tiding and Christina Crabill write for Twisted Tidings, described as a "snarky greeting card company." Gotta get myself some of those cards!
