I'll probably put more of a detailed review up later. Below may have mild spoilers, read at your own risk.

What can I say? I was one of those people that was blind rage angry at the last book. I was like explain this and that, what the fuck Nick?!?! And with this one everything was explained. The I Love You from Zane, why Nick chose to act that way, the holding back, etc.

The necklace is given to Ty, and it was done in a proper way. It wasn't a marriage proposal (yet), but it was a symbol from him...more I'll probably put more of a detailed review up later. Below may have mild spoilers, read at your own risk.

What can I say? I was one of those people that was blind rage angry at the last book. I was like explain this and that, what the fuck Nick?!?! And with this one everything was explained. The I Love You from Zane, why Nick chose to act that way, the holding back, etc.

The necklace is given to Ty, and it was done in a proper way. It wasn't a marriage proposal (yet), but it was a symbol from him to Ty. It was casually done in only a way Zane could do with those amazing lovable eyes Ty could give him.

The sex: I literally sat down and cried at the opening sex scene. It was everything to me. It had nostalgia, love, and hotness. They made comments that both of them have said throughout the series while staying in the moment. However, for a reader, having those nostalgic moments to tie back into their journey was so important. The "are you feeling this too?" Gahhhhhh, kill my heart now. It was amazing. The sex scenes/moments: is it possible you need a fan to cool off from a book? Good, lawdddyy. *pant pant*

I hated Nick in the last book. HATED him. In this one, when I first read it I was all mehhhh. I had sympathy for his POW status, but not how he acted with Ty & Zane. However, the longer I sat on it the longer everything began to fit for me. How although it may on the surface not relate: war torn anguish with real time laughter and love, it all interacts and affects how these men act and love. I got him. I felt for him. Dare I say I grew to love him? He is no threat to Ty & Zane. He is a friend that loved a fellow friend for years. Now that everyone is aware of the situation he can move on. Zane can be the confident man he once was in knowing Ty is his man despite both of their faults. And deep down I would never have felt right with Ty losing his best friend over that. I"m glad too that it was done between Zane and Nick alone.

The roadtrip: I wasn't sure I'd like that aspect, but for this book it felt right. From book 2 through 4, the boys have been stagnant. Trapped in West Virgina, on a cruise ship, and in their own emotional prison in their apartments. In this book, everything was out in the open and progressing. Their emotions, their travel, and who they were opening up with each other. It was enlightening, fun, and sigh worthy. FINALLLLLLLY.

For those wondering about Cameron and Julian: if you were a huge fan of them before, I think this book will get you even more excited. If you weren't, well I don't think they are in it enough to be that distracting. While there is a crossover, this book is all Ty and Zane. It was nice, however, to see Ty & Zane interact with individuals that were gay, not in their work field, and not family. Maybe down the road they will even have them as friends. But, Cameron and Julian are easy, and the dynamics between Julian and Ty were hilarious. Not to mention when Zane went all badass on Julian I may or may not have done a little fist pump.

The ending. Its not a cliffhanger, but its not a HEA. How can it be with more books in the series? However, goddamnnnnnnn, its what we've been waiting for. An ending that has relationship progression that shows the readers that big decisions can come with pure joy and happiness. Yes, they know the road ahead might have some battles, but dammit they believe in each other, they are honest now, and they both know that they aren't willing to ever lose the other.

All in all, a fantastic read!!(less)

Ty and Zane are as awesome as ever… even more-so! Some readers said they had resigned themselves to not expecting too much from this book, since it's not, as the previous ones, the product of the collaboration between Madeleine Urban & Abigail Roux. 3.5 stars. Book 5 had two distinct parts for me. The first, which I really enjoyed, was the road trip with Zane, Ty, Julian and Cameron. It was one of the more enjoyable plots in the series but I figured out the bad guy straight away. Plenty of believable action and snark between the unlikely foursome. It really made me want to read Warrior's Cross again.

In Armed & Dangerous my fun, squabbling, sexy guys, who are emotionally clumsy, if not clueless, turn into mushy romantics who are quick to say "I love you" at any moment, gaze deeply into each other's eyes, call each other "baby" and engage in PDA pretty frequently. AND talk about their feelngs. It was so far out of character I kept checking to see if I was still reading about Ty and Zane. Honestly this felt girly and overboard. Combined with what seemed like an attempt to "fix" everything that bothered readers in the last book (view spoiler) this book felt like it was written for the fan base. A pander. Add in Julian Cross and Cameron from Warrior's Cross which is my least favorite story from Urban and Roux, and this book left me cold. I also find that I preferred the combined writing style of Urban and Roux together rather than Abi on her own.

The biggest tell for me that I'm done with these guys is that I caught myself skimming big swaths of the story. Without the tension and edginess between the guys even the sex was boring. I'm scoring this one a miss.(less)

Armed & Dangerous is great. My favourite so far from the whole series.
These guys make me root for them so hard!

It's all so real. I'm angry with them, in love with them, laughing at with them, crying for them. And not just Ty and Zane, but also Julian, Cameron, Preston, Nick, Deuce.

They're hilarious.

“But I’m such a punny guy,” Zane mock complained...

They're crazy. And often make me mad at them. And at the same time they make me swoon.

I will definitely reread this book. Numerous times.

I loved getting my Ty and Zane fix but was really happy to meet up with yummy Julian and Cam too. I would HIGHLY recommend reading Warrior’s Cross first…absolutely.
Seeing the new side of Ty and Zane being open and freely expressing their love was amazing. I felt an immense weight lift from my chest. I was surprised how much I needed them to be on the same page…and for the most part they were. Of course, Ty will be Ty and continuously sends Zane spinning in circles, but at least they knew they truly loved each other and they were secure in their relationship. Having Zane give Ty his necklace was wonderful. I was hoping it would happen in this book.
Now to mix two off-the-wall FBI agents against stoic and uptight but a seriously yummy Julian was brilliant. How can you not love the interaction between Ty and Julian? Bravo Abigail, it was masterfully done.

Now, what drove me crazy and caused me to drop a half star? The many times it was mentioned that it takes 7 hours to fly from Chicago to Washington DC. NO WAY!!! I have flown that many, many times and it’s barely a 2 hour flight…barely. You can fly from Washington DC to London in less than 7 hours. Petty I know, but I’ve worked in aviation for over 25 years and it just bugged me. But like I said, it did not ruin the story at all.
Still an amazing story and I cannot wait for Stars & Stripes.

Amazing. I wasn't sure when I began this book how it was going to be, since only one of the Urban/Roux team wrote it. Having now read it though, I can say without a doubt Abigail pulled it off on her own wonderfully. It was just as good as the previous books and again left me wanting more and more of Ty and Zane. This was the book that a lot of fans wanted. Me I loved D&C, the angst whore that I am loved every minute it of, yes even Nick and the kiss so nothing could make me not like A&D.

This one was awesome for the character growth....I could not believe there were actually sharing their pasts with each other, they have come a long way from C&R and that is what every series should be like. We got Ty sharing his first love David(who I would love to stir up some shit in future books, I know I'm getting the evil eye from some right now(Morgana))and Ava, who he wasn't in love with but was going to marry anyway. I totally loved the emotional stuff between Ty and Zane in this book it felt very real to me. The SEX was WOW off the charts and the ILY's saying it every chance they could was just freakin lovely. I'm not big on overly sappy shit in my books but the sap was perfect in this book!

Cam and Julian- I really liked WC so having these two in the book was great. I actually liked Cam more then Julian in WC and I kind of felt the same in A&D...don't get me wrong Julian is funny and the banter between him and Ty was a hoot but there is something about Cam that makes me love him. And Preston, heehee Preston....Preston was my absolute fave in WC and when we learned that him and Ty "KNEW" each other, yep I admit I had some tingles going on.

Deuce- YAY, he's going to be a daddy!! I'm still laughing at the whole trying to get the tinfoil off the door handle thing.

Nick- Oh Nick..I liked you in D&C and now I love you. What a great friend, drop everything to help Ty. And yes I admit I needed to get the kleenex when he told Zane about when he and Ty were POWs. I think Zane had a right to hit him and was actually shocked that he didn't, aww our Zane growing up.

I have always been Team Ty through out the books and still am but there was something about Zane that make me sit up and think hmmmm I may be jumping on the Zane train. For me, Zane was always the guy that didn't care about anything, he always made me think that yeah he liked Ty and was glad they were together but if they weren't no big deal....but that changed in this book and I liked it.

I loved this book....I actually took my time and soaked up every word and was not bored for one single second!(less)

OMG 5++ AMAZEBALL STARS!!!

I am SO glad I read Warrior's Cross first because I don't think I would have connected with Julian and Cameron as much. So I suggest you read that one first. Putting them together with Ty and Zane was a freaking BRILLIANT idea!! I kind of wish this was made into a TV series or something just to see it all live :)

Where did my Ty and Zane go?!

Because for a large portion of this book I felt like I was in a time warp.

Ok let me break it down... **spoilers ahead**

The Beginning:
It picks up right where Divide & Conquer left off. The big cliffhanger is quickly resolved and Ty and Zane have crazy hot make-up/reunion sex. And yummy Zane gets all toppy! Oh, and Ty finally gets that gift from Zane. It was so romantic.

The Middle:
Ugh, and then Cameron and Julian come into the picture... and I get bored bored BORE...more

Armed & Dangerous starts where Divide & Conquer left off. Zane alone after Ty left. Luckily, this is resolved rather quickly and we get plenty of Ty & Zane time. And the making up was more than worth the torture of a cliffhanger. There were so many feelings expressed between Ty and Zane. They’re finally feeling comfortable in loving each other and are taking every opportunity to let the other know. There were I Love You’s flying all over the place and I freaking loved it!! When Zane finally gave Ty the compass, it was just beautiful.

”Because you gave me direction when I was lost. You showed me the way.”

Ty seems to have an easier time sharing his feelings, so it was refreshing to see Zane getting lovey-dovey-mushy-gushy too. I was happy to see an explanation for Ty sort of, uncharacteristically, writing off Zane’s I Love You in Divide & Conquer. I should have known. Ms. Roux would never steer us wrong.

The suspense part of the story was the best so far. Ty and Zane have been assigned a job that is off the radar. They need to gather Julian Cross, the “antique dealer”, and deliver him to the FBI. Upon trying to detain Julian Cross, he refuses to leave without his boyfriend, Cameron. These two added another level of hilariousness. There was plenty of snarkyness and laugh out loud one liners. Not only was there Ty & Zane but Julian and Cameron were just as swoonworthy. They were so sweet and loving with each other. Badass Julian always making sure Cameron is okay and feels safe. Cameron trying to reign in his hot headed boyfriend and just stay alive. Having these two along for the ride gave an example to Ty & Zane of what they’re missing by hiding. Of course, if they want to keep their jobs they don’t have a choice. But now they see that there is a choice to make. Which is easier to live with, losing your job or having to hide who you love.

This series has progressed so beautifully. From two slightly insane FBI agents who were fumbling through life, to two men who understand and love each other unconditionally. They’re still slightly insane but that’s half the fun. This series is exceptionally written. One of the best. If this is the level of amazingness needed to reach 5 stars, I might need to rethink some of my previous ratings.

I loved this book, it's my new favorite of this series.
Almost every complaint I had in some of the other books have been either explained or resolved or improved in this one:
The plot was an amazing setting for the humor, action and romance Ty and Zane are known for...and when it was funny it was not JUST funny but hilarious, especially when the characters of Julian and Cam were added to it. The "He has a bomb" just simply blew me away :D
The "road-trip" did wonders for the pace, it...more Next please!!

I loved this book, it's my new favorite of this series.

The plot was an amazing setting for the humor, action and romance Ty and Zane are known for...and when it was funny it was not JUST funny but hilarious, especially when the characters of Julian and Cam were added to it. The "He has a bomb" just simply blew me away :D
The "road-trip" did wonders for the pace, it altered between slow and passionate, funny and bizarre to fast and explosive and not even once did I feel like the story was dragging on. The twists and turns also had me guessing...it was not as easy to figure out who the bad guy was like in the first book...nor was it weird and confusing like in the cruise book.
Then there were other issues like characters, especially Nick..damn I hated this character, I was so afraid he would turn up to be like the Jean character in the SF series...but nop, the author resolved that issue in a amazing way.
The addition of Julian and Cam in this book worked also really well, I had read their book but was not that impressed...I kinda got to like them a lot after this one though :D
Then there was the small stuff like:
- The never ending hospital visits.
- The "I forgot" parts where one or the other character forgot something had already happened in a previous book and just ignored it in the new installment (this usually is about the feelings...Ty/Zane knowing he is in love in one book but then almost forgetting in another book and having to go trough the whole realization one more time).
- Ty's dismissing Zane's "I love you" when he said it during the slow dance.
And many more "small" stuff that had started to pile up, as I said above...the author explained and fixed almost all of it. And she did it in a marvelous way.

Now the character of Zane, Zane had from the beginning been my favorite but I had not known which character had been written by which author before reading this book. Had I known I might have had reservations about how that would work now with only one author writing the series. I might have been looking for differences closely and that would for me have been a distraction.
But as I said I did not know...and yet I did not feel like we got a new Zane..I felt like it was about damn time he got more confident, he seemed stronger and more sure of himself, Ty and their life.
He grew!!!! Not changed but grew! We got to see a part of what Ty said he could see in Zane's eyes, we got to see the man Ty claims Zane can be.
I look forward to reading more about him more then anything, since I had been stalking Ms, Roux's tumbl page I read the interview posted and that she is going to write more about Zane's past, family and so on...I CAN NOT WAIT!!
I love Ty's weird and funny family and friends but have been missing Zane's...I just hope they get to be as kick ass as Ty's...but in their own way. They may be evil mafioso's, word dominating billionaires or some weird shadow clan of evil puppeteers...(His side of the family has been kinda of a secret so far so I have had time to imagine all sorts of dark stuff :D )...anyways...I don't care...just bring them on!

To sum up...I loved this book, so much so that I read it in almost 4 hours :D And I am so going to read it again as soon as I can.
Ms. Roux, standing ovation for you and your work on this installment!!

what's there to say that hasn't been said already?
I must admit I liked the turn Zane and Ty took, liked it a lot. It fits them, is one of the logical paths their relationship would've taken--actually the only fathomable path, with how intense and passionate both of them are once they've set their mind on something, or the series would've stopped since there wouldn't be a romance at all anymore. I had been waiting for this book for so long. As the date of publication got closer, I had practically put all other books on hold in anticipation. It is with pleasure and relief that I can say that I was not disappointed.

There were a few things that bothered me, but I thought that this solo endeavor of the author, on the whole, felt more cohesively and more tightly written than the previously books in the series. There was a subtle difference in the writing style but still quite familiar. For those anxious about the sex lives of Zane Garrett and Ty Grady, there were two very steamy scenes. I found at least one of them too long, but this was just a preference of mine. There were also a lot more cuddling and endearments than I remembered from the previous books. And yes, there were also frequent exchanges of "I love you"s going about between the two couples. It didn't detract from the overall book but it did seem a bit odd.

One of my favorite things about this book was the often humorous and tense interactions between the FBI retrieval team and the target team. Ty and Julian were so similar that any interaction between them was bound to be explosive. I really liked how much stronger Zane seemed to be. He seemed better able to hold up his own end as Ty's partner - not that I had had doubts before; however, there was a quiet confidence in him that didn't seem as apparent before. As for Cameron, he remained the same Cameron from Warrior's Cross, a book which I will admit I thought was boring. However, I liked Cameron in this book. He seemed to hold up fairly well under the circumstances, and I enjoyed the early scenes from his POV. They were kind of funny.

In short, I was really entertained by the humorous exchanges, and books that make me laugh at loud tend to get bonus points.

The plot wasn't particularly inspiring. I'd managed to guess most of what was going on fairly early on in the book (I think). I wouldn't read my status updates if I were not inclined to spoilers. There was a particular group that surprised me, but in hind-sight, this plot device isn't something I have not seen before. Despite what may have been one or two too many obstacles, I didn't feel as if the story dragged its way to the end. I was kept interested, and the sweet, cuddly moments alternated fairly evenly with the action.

There were a few points that stood out to me. Although I understood that the author wished to arrange Ty and Zane's reunion in a certain way, it felt more contrived to me because of what felt like an inefficiency. Thinking back on it now, this particular lack of information also served the overall plot. It still doesn't make sense to me though. There were also several instances where I ran into the inevitable confusion of who "he" is that one is bound to encounter when reading m/m romance: "He sighed, an exasperated sound that Julian rarely made, and he looked out the window, eyes narrowed." Cameron? Or Julian? Not sure, even from context. There was also quite frequent multiple POV head-hopping, which I did not mind so much but it did stand out enough for me to note it. And finally, I know I'm being too picky but...all the sweet and cuddly additions were just too much for me. I'm really not such a sweet and cuddly person so it just seemed weird to me to read it, especially from two tough FBI characters that don't seem to be a sweet and cuddly type in my own imagination. But I did like the ending, sort of. I'm worried about their future together in the Bureau. I look forward to the next book to see what other obstacles Ty and Zane manage to overcome. (less)

Anyway, Zane wants Ty to grovel. Ha! So cute really. I was smiling the whole the time during their reunion at the airport, all the way to their hotel room where the proper reunion took place. And boy, what a reunion it was! I was thinking maybe they should be apart more in the future just so I can witness another reunion between them. It was that hot!

Turns out that our boys are tasked to transport a very important witness and bring that witness back to D.C. The witness is, of course, Julian Cross. Julian was a hostile witness. He wasn't up to cooperating with Ty & Zane. With Cameron in tow, he made Ty & Zane's job hilariously difficult. Yeah, the four of them inside one car and even sharing hotel rooms in between was funny. I found myself laughing out loud many times. Julian stoic and deadpan humor was a match for Ty's snarky one-liner. Haha! I won't list them all here but you can check out my statuses to see what I mean.

The whole mystery with who wants Julian killed was a little obvious to me but it was still fun reading about it especially the ending. LoL! But I was a little sad too when Ty & Zane realized that they could never be as free to express their feelings especially since they work together. And when Zane thought that Ty could never introduce him to his family the way Deuce can with his girlfriend, I felt really bad for them.

This series just keeps getting better and better, and I can't wait to read more of Ty and Zane! Five down, two more books to go!

Round 2 of trying to write a review because goodreads hates me - I loved this book. As usual with Ty & Zane, action was awesome, romance was amazing and sex was off the charts. Although while the previous books were roller coaster rides, this book was like a speed boat strapped to a rocket piloted by a teenager on crack. Seriously, freaking exhausting.

It was so refreshing to see them being free and together out in public, and seeing their joy and love and being able to show it to the world was so incredible and i'm so glad we got to share that with them. The sex scenes in this book (while sexy as fuck as usual) were different from the others (and hey whatta ya know, Ty & Zane noticed it too!). They were romantic and they showed the depth of the love the boys have for each other. It took it to another level (I hate that saying but it more that applies here!)In this book, they are confident and secure in their relationship and both make sure the other knows it by expressing their emotions openly and opening up to each other. It contains some of the best quotes yet - 'I'll always be yours Zane, no matter where I am or where you are. I promise you that' and 'I want to spend the rest of my life with you and I don't care what stands in our way' *swoooooon

We get to see Zane give Ty the beautiful necklace from book 3 and it was the perfect moment, perfect reaction, perfect everything. LOVED IT!! and then we had a very proud Ty show Zane a 'Gerrett's popcorn stand' and show off his 'Love can be messy, Garrett' t-shirt. PERFECT, just PERFECT.

The action was incredibly and Julian and Cameron were amazing. Getting to know them was a pleasure and they fit together so perfectly (i can't say I liked Smith and Wesson but meh). I look forward to reading Warrior's Cross and discovering their story. Now while all these things were amazing, I have to admit I found this book exhausting and not just because of the fast-paced action (which I am used to and adore).

For those of you who know me, I have a vicious green-eyed monster who insists of reading every passage of every book with me and man did it hit it out of the ballpark in this book!! Ava... ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! I think this hit hard because of how much Ty loves Zane and how utterly devoted he is to him and how happy he is now, and the fact that he may never have known this happiness coz of some crazy ass psycho bitch. Then we had a 17 year old Ty who ran away to join the marines because he fell for a male, and that was the only person he had fallen for before Zane. That was so sad and I felt for him, and while I still felt possessive and jealous because it was anyone besides Zane (i know i'm a terrible person, whatever) I felt for him, a young Ty scared to be who he really was *sniffles.

Then we met the first female I have liked since Mama Grady - Yoga Girl! This chick rocks and she earnt my respect the second she told Ty and Zane that her immediate impression was that they were life partners not work partners, and when asked how she responded with 'You scream 'we're fucking'!' This chick deserves to be a Grady, she has my blessing LOL the flip side of the coin here was Zane's sadness that he may not be introduced to Ty's family as the love of his life anytime soon and I REALLY hope we get that in book 6 - they deserve it and I know the Grady's will be happy (well, we'll see about Earl... and the shovel *snickers).

Now... Nick and the POW stuff... I don't really know what to say about Nick so I'm just gonna try and pretend he doesn't exist. I'm just... yeh... conflicted. And the POW stuff made my stomach churn and I literally felt sick. Words can't describe the grief and pain I felt at discovering what happened *tears up again.

Another amazing moment is when we see Ty ask Zane to move in with him and Zane responds with concern but Ty assures him he loves him and will never tire of him (insert 'i want to spend the rest of my life with you' quote!!). FUCK YES!!! *happy dance

And oh!!! did I mention we meet Alpha Zane?!?! Hi and welcome, should I take my pants off now or while you yell at me? Either works for me. Please come around anytime (bad-pun penalty but so worth it *winks)

Ok, so now I will save this review and cross my fingers that Goodreads has forgiven me for whatever the hell I did to offend it. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY, A DEFINITE MUST!! <3(less)
