OMG... I was entirely captivated by Untouchable... I mean like I threw together the quickest meal possible for my kids just so I could get back to reading this book. Lindsay created a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, wanting to know what will happen next to Leese. While I will admit it is a tad predictable I can't take away the fact that I couldn't put it down... I'm anxious to start Unforgivable and quite frankly I'm struggling with how strong the urge is to dive right into it...more

I very rarely leave reviews or ratings for books I cannot finish but I was so disappointed in this book that I had to do so.

This book had so much potential-a unique story, well-developed characters and it was written well. The problem? It is was overrun by so much religious preaching that it was impossible for me to finish. This really should be categorized as "Christian Fiction" so those of us looking for true "Contemporary Fiction" don't feel duped when we spend the money on a book. Also, the...more

I LOVED THIS BOOK. When I read the reviews alot of people said that it was very 'religious' and 'church-based' but I really wanna tell everyone that NO IT's NOTHING LIKE THAT. I'm not a Christian myself and I didn't find it all so much religious.
This book is an AMAZING AMAZING COMPLETELY AMAZING mob romance. It has a great story to it. I love the hero and how he slowly and slowly falls for the heroine and her innocence. Its slow and sweet. It was a bit of a shock the way the heroine didn't react...more

Untouchable had suspense, action, romance and lots of twists!! At times I really couldn't put it down and I've got to say even though I know I'm not supposed to like Micah..I LOVED him, his character and the redemption!! In regard to Annalisa, she had guts and character but the whole religious vibe drove me nuts. Personally for me it was too much and ruined the book for me.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE..... CAN GO ON AND ON.

First PLEASE whoever see this review GO GET UNTOUCHABLE NOW! You won't regret it. This book is FANTABULOS and BEMAZING. This book right from the beginning wrapped me in its clutches didn't let go until I was at the very last word. I was laughing and crying all along. I am sooooo glad I read this. I needed to read something this STUPENDOUS. And here I am still reeling from this book. The songs comes at the right mo...more

I can see how some people might enjoy this book but I did not.

To start with Annalisa was too perfect with the exception being her massive ego. Second, I have nothing against religion, if thats your thing, but I thought it was a bit extreme when Annalisa pretty much forces Evan to go to church. In general, the undertones of the book were a little too religious pushy for my taste. Should have been more clear about it being a Christian romance. Now, I could have gotten past these issues BUT...

Untouchable by Lindsay Delagair is the most unique and different type of romance novel that I have ever read. It is full of romance, crime, and suspense. Untouchable is a great novel that left me wanting for more. I would say it’s a older Young Adult novel that has a touch of romance for older adults as well.

The storyline is about 17 year-old Annalisa who comes from a wealthy family but has to move away to live with family friends of fear of some...more

Really liked this book alot!!! Action packed, suspense, romance, and the mafia!! The story was great and loved Leese and Micah.. After i got to about 30% it really started picking up i couldn't seem to put it down after that! The only problem I had with this book is that sometimes i felt like things were rushed, not alot of built up at times.. I would have to go back and reread a page to make sure i didn't miss anything because i would think wow okay that was fast but I did love the story!! Cann...more

At it's core, this book is about first love and redemption. Lisse is a wealthy, almost 18 year old student and basically in a modified witness protection program because her mother believes strange things are happening to the family. Evan (actually Micah) is a 23 year old mafia hit man who infiltrates Lisse's school in order to fulfill a contract on Lisse's life. What follows is a tale of Lisse falling for Evan, realizing what his ultimate goal is, and striking a deal with him to save her mother...more

The following review reveals the killer's identity without shame because it seriously is obvious

“If it's not the truth,” I added quietly, “I don't want to know,”

WOW!! Loved this book! It's so romantic and I absolutely ADORED Annalisa and Evan! They're just perfect together!

The synopsis for this book is pretty crap because it's the kind of story that moves along. Annalisa and Evan quickly slip into antagonistic flirting. It's pretty good banter and when things start getting serious, it gets poet...more

I have mixed feelings about this book... I enjoyed the excitement, and the thrill and even the relationship between Annalisa and Micah. But after a while I started getting really irritated with Annalisa- she was being quite the tease (in my opinion) and I often found her character to be contradictory. I couldn't seem to see the balance between her weakness (the fact that she cried more in this book than anything else was annoying!!) and her strength, which is where my confusion came in. I loved...more

This has to be one of the most original (and strange) ideas for a so-called romance novel ever: a hard-bodied twenty-something mobster hitman is hired to take out a high school heiress in hiding. The job requires him to get close to her, make her fall in love with him over the course of six weeks, and then "take her out." Not only does the mark fall for the hitman, but he falls for her, too.

It raises a few questions that aren't answered in UNTOUCHABLE. First, was it a case of Stockholm Syndrome?...more

One thing I'll never understand is why some parents give their children the same name as themselves. Matt and his son Matt junior, what the? It's just super strange and demoralizing to have been christened the same name as your parents!

And you get a referral if you cuss in class? not to mention that damn and ass are cussing words? This is a crazy ass strict school! (even though I have absolutely no idea what a referral is, it sounds pretty bad). My teachers at school cuss for real e.g. bitc*

It felt as if the struggle lasted for hours, I remembered saying that I wasn’t going to tell him how much I loved him because I didn’t want to hurt him. I was telling him my plans to save him from having to kill me. I finally gave up the struggle. Out of breath and tired, I could feel something warm running against my skin and the taste of tears that were not my own.

A very good book dealing with very hard situations, feelings and choices.

My Rant:

This book was not what I expected but shockingly enough it was a good story. Leese was witty and feisty but also a snob at sometimes. She was not as helpless as she may seem and but her Ego was enough to smother you. Boy was this character really stuck on herself. Lol, Lets face it I would be too. (smirk). Even though she is egotistical I still liked her character. What was also shocking about this book was Leese emotional breakdowns. At some point she displayed her toughness but at othe...more

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.*

I gave Untouchable 3.5 Stars.

I really liked Untouchable. The plot was what initially piqued my interest as it certainly seemed different from the current NA contemporary romances that I have read.

Annalisa has been uprooted from the only life she has ever known to hideout with family friends as her mother fears for her safety. And her mother has ever right to fear as a target has been placed on Annalisa’s back and it’s only a matt...more

I loved this book so much that I had to finish the series before I wrote this review. Before I start I want to say that if you are a hardcore Atheist and you get a rage boner at the mention of the word Jesus, even if it's just a Mexican guy cutting your grass, ya might want to pass this book up. It does have some spiritual elements mentioned throughout which didn't bother me, I used to go to Church and all but I liked God better when I wasn't balls deep in church drama. Anyway...that old saying...more

I have very mixed feelings about this book. So mixed I have waited awhile before reviewing it. I really liked the writing style, and the flow of the story. I was never bored as the story moved along swiftly and it never felt rushed, which is a really nice balance. There was great character development and the introduction of each character was really nice, which usually means you get attached to characters and `understand' them. However that was not the case for me, I had issues with the protago...more

Well, the cover is deffinetely misleading. It looks like an Adult book from the look, but it's more modest than Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally or Shiver by Meggie Stiefvater.
And once again the ending pulled my raiting of a book higher than I would have given if I hadn't read the last chapters.
Leese is hot for Micah and he- the other way around, but still they both wait for quite awhile TO KISS! Are you shitting me? What is this, a Middle-Grade book?

What would you do if suddenly, you know that your life has a deadline?

cower somewhere?
hide under a rock?
run for your life?

Well, those appear to be some sane decisions right? But noooo, Leese, our heroine decided that she was going to live her remaining days in action. She fell in love with the guy that's supposed to kill her. I can't tell you how many times I told myself that "this is just wrong in many levels" or that "this is strange... strange, strange, strange"... but I couldn't stop read...more

The Reason by Hoobastank is like the worlds most perfect song for Micah :D

LOVED LOVED LOVED this book!!
The scene towards the ending, when they kissed I swear to God my heart was in my mouth!!
Loved all the characters, The book is long but so not dragged one bit.. I enjoyed it thorouhgly!
The sexual tension was like dripping off the pages of this book!
Really found the whole hitman thing really compelling and capturing.. couldn't keep this book down for even a minute.

When I began to read Untouchable, I wasn’t sure what type of book I was reading. I didn’t look at the genre, I didn’t read the synopsis. I liked the title. I liked the thought of something or someone being untouchable. Who in this world considers themselves untouchable? Or do we wish to be untouchable? How many of us don’t want anyone digging deep inside our personal and most intimate lives?

The main character in the book, Annalisa, comes across as a good, young American girl focused on her schoo...more

I PROMISE NO BORING BITS!

This book has a crazy plot but it definitely worked! This is a favorite for sure, i normally don't read books that involve the mob but i'm so happy i took a chance. What really interested me more was that it was set in school because that's the type of books i enjoy reading, i'm surprised it progressed in to more and had loads of action and emotion in it.

It made me anxious, giddy, torn, desperate, i felt hate, disgust...more

I was so torn about rating this book. On one hand, I loved it so much. On the other, there were parts about it that really tested my nerves and patience and I just can't ignore that.

While I am perfectly fine with clean reads, because duh, what's not to like if a book is good, I can't say that I am perfectly fine with religion being shoved down my throat, but I thought that it wasn't really that preachy, especially in the first half of the book.

What I did think is that rather than having Leese be...more

I first gave it 5 starts..but I actually changed my mind after reading the second book. I liked the story..but the religious stuff annoyed the heck out of me..Im very religious myself..so its not the the fact that God was mentioned that annoyed me..but the fact that it was as was forced on to you. It had no real place in the book and its like the writer just needed to fit it into the story..

the story itself I liked very much...even though I think leese..is to innocent/perfect etc. etc. I couldn...more

This book was so much more than I bargained for. It was a romantic adventure if you consider the man you are having the adventure with is going to kill you. Annalisa has a bright future ahead of her at her new school with new friends…and plenty of hot new guys to surround her. I don’t want to ruin any of this book with my review because it takes turns that you just wouldn’t expect.
Let me just start by saying, yes, there are two amazingly hot guys in this book, both with completely different inte...more

Going into this book, I didn't know what to expect. After reading the blurb, I knew it was going to be different from most cliche' romances of boy meets girl, boy falls for girl, girl falls for boy, someone or something gets in the way of boy and girl's relationship, cry cry cry, heartbreak, boy shows up and begs for forgiveness, girl falls dramatically into boy's arms, cry cry cry, happily every after. Yay. Dont get me wrong, I'm one of the suckers that gets pulled into those kind of books, but...more

This was ok. I felt like it took forever to get anywhere/anything accomplished. It was a bit over the top on the believability factor. I am not sure that I will continue on in the series. There wasn't really a cliffhanger of an ending. Its about Evan, Leese, and I guess Ryan. Evan is the hitman ordered to kill Leese. He goes back to high school to get close to her? Ryan is a new hot guy at school about the same time as Evan. He is instantly attracted to Leese as well as Ryan. Not much of a trian...more
