The Flake and His Secret Plan was aimed at kids, and it was a serious "child health and safety" book at the time it was published. Now, however, it's very nostalgic (i.e., hilarious). U.S. government publications are wonderfully diverse, but they are also woefully overlooked and under appreciated. Make a visit to any FDLP (Federal Depository Library Program) library sometime, and browse the collection.
