"Remember that". Most people will never fully understand the meaning of that thought, but it's a valid point. Volunteer military force or drafted it's still very valid.

This book was a little long and detail orientated for me, but it was a good book. One thing I would point out that the author doesn't talk about much is the "stop loss" that happened during Iraq and Afghanistan. He says no one was drafted, but I would be curious to see how many prior veterans were stop losses like the numerous vet
