In Movers, Dreamers, and Risk-Takers: Unlocking the Power of ADHD author Kevin Roberts challenges us to look at new ways to assist those with ADHD, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. After reading the first 40 pages of this book, I honestly think I highlighted text from 28 of those 40 pages alone. After finishing the book earlier tonight, my almost every-other page folds and excessive highlighting makes my ARC of this book look like a college textbook.

I really enjoyed this book because it points out the up side to ADHD. I also liked the book because Roberts does a great job making the reader laugh, which can be a tricky thing to do while reading a book about such a heavy to...more

I loved this book. It's really about the whole way we think about ADHD kids, and finding a new way to approach everything. It's an approach based on empathy for what is really going on in their heads (rather than just focusing on the ways they are messing up our day or whatever), and of helping them find strategies that not only help them get things done but actually make them feel successful and competent.
