It's been way too long since I read a short story collection, but Cram's first book Radio Belly was a perfect reintroduction to the genre. It's a mix of quirky and serious, whimsical and sad and each story manages to be complete and satisfying on its own. It's been way too long since I read a short story collection, but Cram's first book Radio Belly was a perfect reintroduction to the genre. It's a mix of quirky and serious, whimsical and sad and each story manages to be complete and satisfying on its own. I read Radio belly. It was well written and every original…..maybe even too original for me.
Some stories I liked, some I really didn’t understand.
I can’t say there is anything wrong with the stories but I didn’t understand the purpose, if there was deeper meanings sadly I didn’t get them.

A solid assortment of stories with great humour and upturns of hope woven throughout.
What a brilliant collection! I couldn't put it down.. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Reminds me of TC Boyle and Jessica Grant and Karen Russell (her short stories)! Terrific fun.
