This fourth in the “Life-Size” book series takes on farm animals in glorious full-size photographs. Just like the others in the series, there are panels that offer more detailed information, including the animals name, age, and scientific name. I used this book in a story time, as a visual for "old MacDonald had a farm" and the kids seemed to really enjoy it. we would sing the first part of the song, then I would open to a page, and they would say that animals name. This is a good introduction to nonfiction for young children as well.
Goats "might nibble on your things. Don't freak out!"

Guinea pigs have a vertical split between the nose and the mouth. "This helps them move their mouths easily for munching on hay and veggies."

Kiso horses have lived in Japan for 1000 years.

Everybody loves the super-high-res photos in the Life-Size books from Ten Footer. Farm brings the supersharp pictures, facts, and details to bear on familiar farm animals. Rabbits are fluffy and lovely, but that sheep on the cover is U-GLY.

This is a great book for toddlers. My two year old was captivated by the large illustrations. The sparing text make it easy to move on. Their are good nonfiction text features to be explored.

What a great way to help children see and understand the animal world. Love the pictures, love the large size, love the book!
These photos are really (hilariously) actual size. This would be fun to take to a class visit.
