The book I am reviewing is Goosebumps the haunted mask by RL Stines. It is a science fiction book. My thinking of the books theme would be never try to do anything with a bad intention because if you do it you might be in big trouble and also love can destroy all evil in the world.

It is a science fiction book. This book is about a girl named Carly Beth. She has lots of friends like chuck, Steve and Sabrina. The only problem is they really enjoy scaring Carly beth like usual she always gets scared one day chuck and Steve sneaked a worm in the sandwich that he gave to Carly beth. After that event she was really angry at them when she reached home her mother showed her the head that she made of Carly beth. On her way to the room she saw a huge duck jump on her she later realized that it was her brother Noah who likes to scare Carly beth. On Halloween she made the plan of scaring chuck and Steve so she went to a party store which was recently opened. When she went there she noticed that the store was closed but finally a guy came from inside the store it was the store owner. He let her get in so then she started to look for a really scary mask. When the guy was busy she went into a room inside the store it was filled with the scariest mask ever, she asked the guy for the mask but he wasn’t willing give the mask after a lot of begging the guy was ready to giver her the mask. After she put on the mask her first victim to scare her brother Noah. She went to Noah room and saw that he was a cockroach for Halloween when she confronted with Noah. He almost was scared to death the Carly beth revealed that it was her. When she tried to take off the mask she was in deep shock. There are lots of character in this book but the main character is Carly Beth she was a girl who was scared of almost anything. Chuck, Steve and Sabrina were Carly Beth’s friend they like playing dirty jokes and pranks on Carly Beth to scare her in front of her whole school.

The book is like really interesting and entertaining it is like kind of a good book when I was reading this in the whole book I didn’t feel myself getting bored. The plot and the theme was decent but it was kind of hard to tell theme was but the ending told me the theme. This book was kind of good like all Goosebumps books this has a surprise ending too if you want to know what it was read the book I highly recommend this book. My favorite scene was the ending because it kind of gave me the hint that there is 1% of chances there might be a part two of this book. My other favorite scene would be that when all the masks were chasing Carly beth because she hated those masks and the mask came to life she was running for her life that park was kind of funny because she was really scared. This book is really descriptive the only questions I had was what will happen in the end because in Goosebumps book I like the surprise endings. The book is excellently described like the characters and the mask I could even draw a picture of what the mask looks like. The book affected me by I will never try to take revenge on my friends which will get me into trouble.

I would recommend this book to kids who like to read scary books because I don’t think teenagers would like Goosebumps books only like a few teenagers would like it because now a day teens like to read novel or other books. This book is also descriptive which would make it easier for them to understand exactly what is happening in the story and this book only has like 122 pages which would be easy to finish. I don’t remember any movies related to this but I do know a book which would be almost al the Goosebumps books. I would relate this to a world issue which would be friends getting trouble just to take revenge because Carly beth wanted to get revenge but she got in trouble by the mask got stuck in her face forever but finally gets the mask off her.

This is like the best book ever. It is not even close to scary but it is obviously interesting and a bit funny too the part when Carly beth was supposed to wear a duck costume which was really childish I would recommend this book to kids who likes to read scary books because I would describe this book as a little scary. This book is kind of interesting with descriptive sentences. If I had to rate this book I would give it 3 out of 5 because its not like the best book ever but it’s a little good . This book also has appropriate language which is really suitable kids and it is also really easy book so that was the end of my book review

The Haunted Mask is one of my favorite Goosebumps books ever. It is about a girl named Carly Beth who is constantly teased for being a scardy cat. I like this book because something good always happens in each chapter. Yes I would recommend this book to the other eight graders because they might think it is a good book too. Yes this book teaches you something. It teaches you that you shouldn't ask for anything dangerous and always check if the mask is safe to use. She tries and tries to pull the mask off of her face, but realizes that she is not going to be able to. She heads back to the Halloween store to try to get the owner to pull it off, but he tells her that the mask can only be pulled of by someone who loves her. He also tells her that if someone puts the mask back on then it will be there face forever. The end of the story ends with her younger brother running into the room, after her mother had thrown away the mask, asking her sister,"How do I look in the mask!" I really liked the ending because it allows children to predict what would happen in the story if there was a sequel. R.L Stine ends the book leading readers to believe that Carly's little brother will have the face of the mask for the rest of his life. This book is very fun for children, especially around the Halloween season. The book is exciting and is definitely a scary book that will allow children to ask themselves questions. The cover of the book is the only illustration and I feel that it represents the book perfectly. It shows the terror of the mask and the pain that the girl is in trying to get it off. Although the book is very fun for kids to read, and this series is great for children with imagination, it doesn't really challenge students linguistically. The simple sentences and words are great for beginners, but I feel that the book would be better if used stronger details, vivid language, and more challenging words. Overall, I rated this book four stars because although the book isn't very challenging, it is very fun for children and still maintains its popularity on the book shelves at school libraries. (less)

Haunted Mask is an obvious parody of the classic science fiction story. Including a plot structure of normal kids getting involved in scary situations and twists. Thankfully the central conflict appeared to resolve itself in the end and the kids were ok.

Having forgotten much of the storyline, I will be re-living my goosebumps days and skimming through them in the coming months!

The Haunted Mask is a book about a poor girl who is bullied, doesn't have good friends, is easily scared and is not old enough to dress (or undress) herself like a Catwoman or a Sexy Nurse for Halloween.

This is the book "The Haunted Mask" from R.L. Stine. I found this book very interesting because the mask permanately sticks on the girl's face. But I don't think the ending was good. Namun sayang, topeng2 itu tak dijual dan carly beth dipaksa sang pemilik toko untuk segera keluar karena toko akan tutup. Saat pemilik toko lengah ia mencuri salah satu topeng dari ruangan tersebut. Sesampainya di rumah ia melihat topeng apa yang ia curi, ternyata sebuah topeng bertampang buruk dengan lendir kental mengalir dari hidungnya. Topeng itu hangat dan ia mencoba sekali.

Carly beth sangat bersemangat menanti halloween tiba. Ia merahasiakan perihal topeng itu kepada siapapun, ia ingin sebuah kejutan untuk kawan-kawannya.

Saat halloween tiba ia memakai topeng sersebut dengan menggunakan jubah dan sapu, serta replika kepalanya yang dibuat oleh ibunya ia gantung di ujung sapu. Kedua orangtuanya berkesan begitu juga sahabatnya. Saat ia melihat Steve berjalan dengan kawannya untuk trick or treat, Carly beth bersembunyi di semak2 lalu menyerang stive begitu kedua temannya itu mendekat. Ternyata keduanya ketakutan setengah mati, ia tak menyangka Carly beth dibalik topeng itu karena suaranya sangat beda dan menyeramkan.

Carl beth puas dan ia sudah capai ingin cepat pulang. Namun sayang topeng itu melekat kuat diawajahnya. tak ada celah untuk melepasnya. Ia sulit bernafas. Ia dan sahabatnya kebingungan lalu mereka berdua kembali ke toko yang menjual topeng tersebut.
Ternyata topeng itu adalah eksperiment yang gagal, topeng2 itu bernyawa. Mereka mencari tempat untuk hidup. Jika telah beberpa kali dipakai maka topeng itu akan melekat selamanya seumur hidup. Ada satu cara untuk melepasnya yaitu dengan menunjukkan sebuah benda yang dibuat dengan kasih sayang, namun itu untuk satu kali. Carly beth teringat replika kepala buatan ibunya, namun replika itu entah berada dimana sejak ia menakut-nakuti steve. Ia pun teringat segera berlari mencari dibalik semak-semak tempat ia menakuti steve. Replika wajahnya ketemu, ia pun mengangkat replika itu tinggi2. Tak ada pengaruh namun lama-lama topeng itu mengendur dan ada celah untuk melepasnya.

Ia senang dan pulang ke rumah. Namun bencana itu terjadi lagi, adik Carly beth memakai topeng itu.(less)
