Fearless is a delightful historical fantasy romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.
While fighting to free Ireland from the English, Chieftain Kieran MacAuley, The Fearless One, leads his men into a battle that, though badly wounded, only he survives. He is on the verge of death when a woman called Brynna steps from the shadows. She takes him to her home and heals him but tells him nothing of her past. He is baffled by her mystery but responds to her kind heart and a loving relationship develops.

Every once in a while I like to read an historical romance novel. My favourites are by Elizabeth Lowell and Julie Garwood because I’m quite partial to the medieval ones. Needless to say, I was quite excited when I saw Fearless on netGalley: it takes place when the Irish and the English are at war and people still believe in the fae. Kieran is a charismatic hero, full of honour and burning with the desire to free Ireland from England. Brynna is his savior — she brings him back from the edge of de...more
I chose this book because I expected a historical romance, and I got that and more. Rather than the personal push-pull of contemporary romance, Brynna never doubts Kieran’s love, nor does he doubt hers…when he can remember it. Instead, the tale told is epic, of soul mates found and torn apart by the very land they both love.
Kieran MacAuley was marked by the faerie queen at birth for great things. He carries the title Fearless because his determination has no limits. The people of Ireland are put...more

I have read this book as a preview granted through netgalley and enjoyed reading it:
Fearless is story full of heart set in 1467 Ireland in the fight between the Irish and the English. We are following warlord Keiran into battle to be saved by a young woman, Brynna, who isn't all human. We follow those two through trials and tribulations to find what becomes of them in the end.

Qu...more

This was a book with potential, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me. I liked the premise: An Irish chieftain falls in love with a woman who is part-Fae, when she saves his life on the battlefield. Brynna nurses Kieran back to health, then sends him back to his people, minus his memory of their time together. But even her magic cannot erase her completely from his mind or his heart. He makes his way back to her and the two of them must face one obstacle after another as they try to find happi...more
Keiran an Irish cheiftan is the sole survivor of an attack against the english. He is saved by the faery healer Brynna. When he returns home, he remembers nothing from the time he is laying dying in a field to coming home. In the recess of his mind & in his dreams, he sees Brynna.
I absolutely loved that Brynna was sweet & Keiran was not some overbearing ass, but he knew in his heart already that he loved her, he just couldn't remember.

Fearless follows the tale of a warrior, Kieran, and his fairy lover. Brynna, in 15th century Ireland. War and battle are always only a few days away, as Ireland struggles for rights and independence from the English.
The book is pretty formulaic, but that’s exactly what I was looking for. Sword-swinging romance to lose yourself in for a couple of hours. It’s love at first sight between the lithe Brynna and brawny Kieran after she heals him of his battle wounds. A lot of the tension in the book is...more

The idea was not so bad, the faerie helping humans to free Ireland from the England domination, but the characters are not so intriguing and the book is far too long, in my opinion.
L'idea di partenza con le fate che cercando di aiutare il popolo irlandese a liberarsi della dominazione inglese non era nemmeno troppo male, ma il libro è decisamente troppo lungo e i personaggi non sono per niente affascinanti.
THANKS TO NETGALLEY AND THE AUTHOR FOR THE PREVIEW
