This is a book of short stories written with Alaska as the backdrop or common thread. The writing is as stunning as any Alaskan documentary and as surprising as turning a corner in town and coming face to knee with a moose. Her prose is so well crafted, her ability to open up the hearts and lives of her characters in a few choice words is nothing short of breath-taking.
