I love the concept of this book -- the way the font and patterning of the text cue different voices, the way it becomes embodied through vocal imagination, through the reader's own compulsions to read it out loud, the way it shifts between and functions as both performance and novel (novel, as in something new and as in a work of prose fiction). I absolutely find Sharon Bridgforth so inspiring!
I loved the idea of the novel as performance and the collective voices that came through. It revolutionized the way I think about what is possible with novels. Transformative of life & writing:-)
