Shelves: ella
the "Bear" stories by Harriet Ziefert have been a big hit with Ella. I think she like opening up the flaps after she has "guessed" what Bear is going to do/buy, etc. We've checked them out from the library, but I may need to buy these. She asked where the other bear books went when we were reading this one and asked me to get it back from the library.

Recommends it for: toddlers-preschool
Each day, Bear visits a different store. Readers are given several choices of what he might buy at that store; lifting the flap reveals the right answer.

Great concept, disappointing illustrations.
