The gem of this collection is the first selection, David Sedaris' hilarious Christmas essay, "Six to Eight Black Men". The rest, though ranging from well-written to quite well-written, are a confusing hodge podge of authors and genres from romance to horror, none with any further connection to the holiday season. Still, it was free, entertaining, and introduced to the work of some authors with whom I wasn't familiar and anything from Sedaris is always a treat.

A great selection of stories by some outstanding authors. These are not always excerpts with a Holiday theme. The first two stories by David Sedaris were my favorite. I also enjoyed the excerpt of The Shack. Well written stories meant to tantalize the reader toward reading the full books.
