I was excited about this book, another read to add to my growing list of "women in aviation" books. It was good though not quite what was I expecting.

This is an interesting look at a young woman who, faced with an insult from one of her pilot instructors, went out of her way to become a licensed pilot just because of that. I found her to be a very engaging narrator, and she didn't lose us in technobabble. I did kind of feel like I was reading a self-help book, but I enjoyed the story, and liked the ending to it.
As far as content, this book rocks. Sylvia learns to fly because some pilot makes a sexist comment to her—a comment that fuels her (no pun intended) throughout her four-week course. This book as much about self-mastery as it is about learning to fly. Quick read.
Sylvia takes flying lessons in Spain. She shares her adventures and feelings about learning to fly and solo. I'm not as adventurous as Sylvia but I lived vicariously through her. Quick read!

I was surprised. I liked it! Easy to read, however you could feel her point of view.
That was a short read...didn't realize it but still enjoyed it...funny and refreshing.
I knew from the moment I received Fear of Landing: You Fly Like a Woman for review that it would be a fun read. And it didn't disappoint.
