Rock Chick Regret (Rock Chick #7)
by
Kristen Ashley (Goodreads Author)
Sadie Townsend is known by all as The Ice Princess and she’s worked hard to earn her reputation. Her father, a now-incarcerated Drug Lord, has kept her under his thumb her whole life and she’s learned enough from living in his world to give everyone the cold shoulder. But one inebriated night, she shows the Real Sadie to the undercover agent she knows is investigating her...more

Rock Chick Regret is the seventh book in the Rock Chick series and one of my favorites! The story is truly awesome… heartbreaking, inspiring, romantic and very sexy… a delicious tale served up in true Kristen Ashley form.
I’m in love with Hector Chavez. What an amazing, incredible, all kinds of awesome man. Hector alone made this book worth reading, but then throw in the beautiful, loving, compassionate Sadie and the rest of the Rock Chick cast and this story could be nothing less than 5 stars.

WOW! I love everything about this book!
Rock Chick Regret has the perfect combination of humor, angst, romance, suspense, drama, fluff, and steamy eroticism. This book has a similar feel to Heaven and Hell (one of my all-time favorite books). It deals with delicate and traumatic circumstances realistically, appropriately, and, at time, heartbreakingly. But, Kristen Ashley also adds splashes of wonderful and endearing humor to counterbalance the darker feel inherent in such a book, making R...more

“I want you in my bed, I want you in my house, I wanna come home to you.”
Pure 5-star swoony awesomeness!!
This book just grips you right from the start. I literally gasped my way through the first chapter with wide eyes and all sorts of “oh my god, did that really just happen?!” thoughts.
This story, much like the last one, deals with some very intense scenarios. Sadie is the rich, beautiful daughter of a high ranking drug dealer. She is used to being judged for her father’s sins and since h...more

Take hold of life and live it beautiful...
Without a doubt this 7th installment is chock-full of Kristen Ashley's magic!
Once again she gives the kind of hero I love to read. And "Double H" (Hispanic Hottie) Hector Chavez stole my heart from the very beginning. The way he takes care of Sadie Townsend is breathtakingly beautiful. And the transformation of Sadie is amazing.

5 Stars! Another hit in the Rock Chick series. I’m on a Hector and Sadie HIGH!! I’ll be honest with you; Hector pissed me off in the beginning when Sadie went into Nightingale Investigations to inquire about hiring them for her protection. He let everyone believe that she was everything they thought she was, when he knew better. Hector was aware that Sadie was nothing like her father, even tried to help him when he was undercover and he never opened his mouth to tell them any different. That’s w...more

My favorite "quote" - it made me go all awwwww...
"Sadie?"
"What?"
"You with me?"
I blinked in confusion and said, "Yes." And I was, wasn't I? I was standing in his arms for goodness sake.
"This is Sadie?" Hector went on.
I blinked again. "Yes."
"My Sadie?" he kept at it.
This time I blinked for a different reason.
His Sadie? Was there a Hector's Sadie? Was I Hector's Sadie? Did Hector think I was his Sadie?
Oh…my…God.
Before I could process what he said or get close to processing what that meant, I watche...more

Rock Chick Regret is the seventh book in the Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley. Sadie Townsend is known as the Ice Princess and is the daughter of a convicted drug dealer. With her father in prison, Sadie turns to Nighingale Investigations for protection and is refused. Then Sadie is beaten and raped and the Nighingale Investigations step up to the plate. Hector Chavez has been attracted to Sadie since he met her during an undercover investigation with the DEA. The time had not been right for...more
Edited 12/25/2011: Rock chick regret is officially my favorite of the series and after reading for a second time I can not wait for the next book. Come on Ally & Ren, I'm waiting for you!

I'm finished. What the heck do I do now? I LOVE these books and these characters. I really feel like I'm going to miss them. There are so many interesting characters and even though the hot guys are all quite similar, it didn't seem to bother me a bit. I cared so much and laughed so much that the little things that could have bothered me (repeated sayings, errors in editing) didn't. I thought this instalment had a wonderful blend of heartbreaking moments and hilarity. Kristen Ashley makes it wor...more

Oh my goodness I am in love with Hector Chavez, I think he might be my favourite KA hero in the Rock Chick series. Anyway sorry I digress Rock Chick Regret has a traumatic start for our new heroine Sadie Townsend. I found it quite shocking because in the earlier 6 books the hot bunch always manage to save the day and therefore save the Rock Chick however in this instalment it doesn’t happen that way.

Sadie,
Ma’girl, I am glad you found happiness and found your true self. For some moments in your story, I wanted to throw a right cross and a left jab at “New” Sadie, “Attitude” Sadie, “Stepford” Sadie, etc. I was annoyed by all the Sadies except Hector’s Sadie and, ironically, I wasn't as exasperated by Ice Princess Sadie. I understood her because she was a reasonable armor.

Just as intense as it was the first time around.
OK. I'm going to try to make sense...or not. This one knocks your breath out of you from the beginning. I was heartbroken for Sadie... but what was so great about this one was the way Hector, The Rock Chicks and The Hot Bunch gave her the space and the friendship she so desperately needed to heal. That's about all I can come up for now without getting too spoilery. Loved the end and if we don't get ALLY AND REN... I may cry.

Things that drove me insane, and not in a good way:
• "Blooming heck." What the hell is this phrase?! It comes across as a really lame version of "bloody hell." Wherever it came from, it's overused, it's juvenile, and it's ridiculous considering what the author wants me to believe about the character using it: that she's a wealthy, educated Denver socialite who grew up with a Drug Lord father and surrounded by his "gentleman army," has no friends, and is an Ice Prince...more

I pretty much gave this one 5 stars before I even opened it. I’m a huge fan of anything and everything Rock Chick and this book didn’t disappoint. However, like the last book in the series, this one is a lot darker, dealing with some very heavy issues.
When we first meet our heroine, Sadie, she is cold – intentionally so. She has no friends, no real life and even the Rock Chicks don’t think much of her. By the end of the Prologue we have a very clear view of her as living in a dangerous world an...more

O. M. G. 'Rock Chick Regret' was KA-mazing!
The fluffy-fun vibe that the 'Rock Chick' series began with was nowhere in site in this last (*sob*) book. 'RC Regret' started off with one of the most gut-wrenching scenes I think I've ever read, and this set the tone for the rest of the book. Oh, there were still funny parts (how could there not be with colorful characters like Tex - I want Tex's VIP treatment!), but overall this book was darker, more complex, and emotionally taxing... and I loved eve...more

Awe, another great Rock Chick book!! I'm so sad this series is coming to an end. Only one more to go. :(
This book really started out different from the rest. Hector and Sadie had already met before in a very tense situation. Hector was undercover trying to take Sadie's dad down, which he accomplished by the way. While undercover Sadie and Hector had one heated moment that did not end well. Both had felt the chemistry between them but had n...more
This book was not as funny as the others. I only laughed twice.
(The dog sweaters and the pool table being monitored in the surveillance room). The vicious rape and beating is not conducive to humour. I loved Ralphie and Buddy; Sadie is lucky to have such caring friends. I didn't like the rock chicks or Shirleen in this one. They were all awful to Sadie in the beginning (hating her for what her father did, not anything she did). Bad form girls, bad form. And after the event, when the RCs try to g...more

The only reason i gave this book a 3 star rating is because i kept thinking if it was a standalone i would have enjoyed it or any other book in the series alot better. KA has a good sense of humor and her books are usually filled with characters that have crazy personalitites which makes the book an enjoyable read where you have a few laughs and relax but, since it was 7 books of simple writing, repetition, identical characters, mind numbing internal dialogue and no development, i'm happy to say...more

I rate the Rock Chick series a 5 star all the way, some of the titles I enjoyed more than others but as soon as I put down one book I couldn’t wait to get started on the next so in my eyes the series is well worth the 5 stars.

I loved Sadie and Hector!
Oh, Sadie, it was so wonderful to see her come into her own. She suffered horribly, but did not let that get her down. If there was someone that earned herself a pity party, it was Sadie. And yet, she never hosted that party. She just kept picking herself back up and always seemed more concerned about others than herself.
I enjoyed how Hector kept looking for his Sadie. He knew, he KNEW that woman was inside, and he worked so hard to help Sadie realize just that too. I co...more
My first encounter with the Rock Chicks! They're solid, loving, opinionated, resourceful, sometimes over the top but a girl couldn't ask for a better group of friends :). But I do admit to squirming a little before the 'talks' .....I was summoning the Ice Queen for Sadie!
Then there's the 'Hot Bunch' so aptly named....and what can you say? Nothing you just melt ;)

This one blew me away in its own unique way! For starters the most intense part of this book happened up front and I tell you I’m like OMG! This book was tamer (in a way) and less ‘Rock Chick’ then the other ones I’ve read, but that didn’t turn me off at all. Poor Sadie… wow I just wanted to give that woman my love too! I'm devastated that there is only one Rock Chick book left.

Sadie Townsend, the daughter of a drug lord (that is now in prison), finally has a chance to start her life. Getting raped was definitely not part of the plan and this is where the sexy Hector Chavez comes in. After a onetime fling that didn't end well, Hector's back and ready to claim his woman.
