After manipulating Lydia to serve as his official fairy doctor (by announcing her position to the court without asking her), Edgar sets up shop in London as the Blue Knight Earl. In this volume, the legend of the Fogman is explored, Edgar is up to something again, and new female characters (the loverly Doris Walpole, and the repulsively selfish, Rosalie) are introduced who have a mysterious connection to Edgar. Is he romantically interested in them?

The previous story ended. Now she is employed by the Blue Knight Earl. But something mysterious is happening, a girl has disappeared last seen with your employer. An investigation is started, while you think you can finally trust him, and he won't lie to you anymore; you think you might even be feeling something for him. There comes along alittle strawberry haired vixen with a smart mouth to still him away. Does he woo every woman he comes across? Where has this missing woman gone, did he take h...more

Lydia is back in London, working as Edgar's assistant. There is a mysterious evil "force" called the Fogman who abducts children and sells them into slavery. Could this be the same being that abducted Edgar as a child, and is Lydia in danger now, too? This volume gives the reader a look into Edgar's past, as well as how it motivates all of his present actions. Lydia's still not sure if he's to be trusted, but she is as fearless as ever when it comes to solving a mystery w...more

I like this series enough, it’s not one of my favorites, but I am looking forward to seeing how it ends. I think what my problem with this series is, and I’ve just now kind of put a word to it, is that it has a displaced, distant feeling to it. Which isn’t always particularly a bad thing, it’s just making it hard for me to really get connected with any of the characters or the storylines, which is a bit upsetting considering how intense and exciting it could r...more

Ack - cliffhanger!
At first, as we are introduced to new characters and scenarios, I thought this was a new arc, but, as the story progresses, we see that it's tied up in the larger story of Edgar's past in interesting ways.
Lydia continues to waffle between trusting Edgar and not - and for good reason.
But will he come through when it matters?

This volume captivated the reader with the introduction of two new characters and two new villains. Earl Edgar's relationship with the Fairy Doctor, Lydia is increasingly frustrating! Can Lydia just accept her feelings already? There are MANY plot twists and *gasp* moments. The end... definitely leaves the reader begging for the forth volume!

Another lovely volume!
This arc, finished in the fourth and, sadly, final volume of this manga series corresponds to the second light novel.
