I was given this book in return for an honest review. Lexi is a teenager on a mission, a mission to find and defeat Jack, the oldest vampire. Problem is there may be a traitor in her group of trusted friends. This book introduces new characters that blend in with the old ones. Nobody is above suspicion. Lexi and Kellan, her boyfriend have a special relationship, others try to test it, will they succeed? Lexi has another problem, what does she do when a prophecy has already declared what her and...more
Lexi's ability and skills will be tested and stetched to their limits. She is set on another mission to take down the supposedly oldest vampire in the world, Jack, and faced with happiness and sorrow at the same time as she takes her relation ship to the next level. This time however she is not only endagering herself but almost everyone else she loves. Lexi is faced with learning what is to be and what the prophecy says about Lexi's and Kellan's relationship. "In a second of victory, all shall...more
After reading the first two books in this series, I have to say I was a bit disappointed with this one. I think it had potential but the main character Alexa has started to come across as dumb. She is the chosen one, the one to take on the great missions and save the world but her world is trying to figure out if she is interested in this guy or that guy. She acts like she can't make a decision or makes uninformed decisions. Unfortunately, this makes the book somewhat unbelievable. Seriously, ar...more
Im my opinion this novel was still great, however I didn't enjoy reading the third book then the two before. There has been too many deaths and klling as well as just a sort or depression in this novel. On the other hand I did enjoy the action and love you felt while reading the nove. This book was like the others a novel that I couldn't put down. In this novel I enjoyed learning the new information or exciting things that make you want to read the next novel in the series. I am going to have to...more

Once again I would like to mention the beautiful new cover to this book. Love it! Hit the Road Jack is the third book in the Vamp Chronicles series. Now this book does take a darker turn. There is a lot more violence than in the other books, but it also shows the strenghts of the charcters. When in the life of the super natural how can you not have at least one senerio that is not as upbeat as the others. I really enjoyed this installment in the series.

Ok, there were parts of this book that were just plain hard for me to get a grip on. I found myself actually telling the main character, Lexi, how stupid she was (out loud)! And the end - I just shook my head in disbelief. But what can I do? I'm already 3 books into the series! Will I purchase the 4th and hopefully last book in the series? Probably yes - I'm just too OCD not to!

Love this series!!!
I love vampires and now vampeens!!!! The story in this book was fresh and I enjoyed the change of scenery. The author always does such a good job with her villains! Oh and GAH!!! the romance is soooo good. I was a little disappointed at the end to find it unravel the way it did, but it made so much more sense in the next book. Book 4 was instantly purchased!

I was born and raised in Charleston, SC, but now live in the hottest place on earth: Orlando, FL. I have three beautiful children who keep me running non-stop. When I'm not juggling life and kids, you'll find me huddled away somewhere writing my next book or happily reading someone else's. Like most authors I've come across, I'm a coffee addict, own far too many books than I can fit on my shelves,...more
