I really liked book one, and book two is even better! The characters came to life even more. I have been drawn in and left dying to discover more of "the secrets". What has beloved Boot done? Will he be able to let Dilly know of his doings without risking their love? Who has been able to follow Dod to Earth from the world of Green? My kids and I have had a great time discussing clues and guessing where the next book will lead us. I like that our analytical minds get a work-out with this series. ...more
Well done! Now that I've read the second book, I'm hooked! I am hard to please when it comes to fantasy type books, but this one is refreshingly different. It reads much like the Harry Potter books with the character development and relationships, yet it doesn't sink as deep into the darkness and explicit gore as some of the other books in this genre. I look forward to the next in this series.
Book 2 of the Adventures of Dod series is awesome! We loved it. You walk into the story where book 1 left off --- and you are already familiar with the concepts of the world of Green, Raul & Soosh & Dod's circumstance, So it is fun right from the start. There is great humor, exciting adventure, deepening of plot and excellent development of the characters. If you even kind of liked book 1, you are going to REALLY enjoy book 2. And if you enjoy book 2 you are going to LOVE book 3. (We jus ...more
I loved this book. By the end of the first one I was begging my mom for the second. I couldn't stop reading this because I had to know what was going to happen next! Even though most of my friends who are reading the books are boys, I think that girls will like these books just as much. I love to read about Dilly and Boot. I love Boot! If I were Dilly, I wouldn't play so hard to get. She should just marry the guy. But something is strange about their relationship because I can tell that Boot is ...more

Exciting, thrilling, action adventure! The series has really begun now. It took a bit of book one to understand what was going on, but I couldn't put this book two down. I was into the story right away, and it was exciting and funny throughout the whole thing. I really can't wait until this becomes a movie. I could see it in my head. I am looking forward to the third book. 5 stars!

This book has me stoked about the series. When I finished it, I was mad that book 3 wasn't out yet. But now I have book 3, so I'm diving in. I like the characters. I think these books do a good job of showing them grow.

As good as #1. Great reads for teens and maybe preteens. No questionable sex reference. Some violence.
